Now that we're three people posting here again and an e-mail has gone out to all members (I hope, fingers crossed it didn't end up in any spam filters!) I thought I'd start a little "what's next?" thread  Firstly, I've deleted two member accounts from 2017 who never posted. Secondly, I'm trying to make admin-powers available to all members, so you don't have to wait on my slow ass to update general info threads/lock threads/archive threads/make announcements, etc. I think a forum only can have one admin, but I'm trying to make moderators and global moderators more 'powerful'. Please let me know if you want to be a Modedator or Global Moderator, and I'll add that to your account! Thirdly, any ideas for the 'next big thing' in game? Do people feel like just chilling and having our elves interact for a bit with no big plot event yet, or do we want to jump to one of the events previously discussed? Something else? Just to make sure no one accidentally misses out on this thread, I'm tagging all forum accounts belonging to people who had characters in the holt (active or on hiatus) last time we all spoke here: Badger Edgerunner Eryk Flint Greywing Jaseio Juniper Louw Mindlight Musen Nightbird Panaetha Reefshadow Sefu Silverthorn SL2657F Skye Sunset Swift-Wind Swish Tambri PS. I'd be up for a Mod/Global Mod position! Have been an Mod/Admin on a similar small forum for years – not proboards, but I guess the software won't be that much different. Certainly have the time to help with upkeep and all.
As for the plots, depending on who replies back to continue, I would vouch against a bigger plot. It's winter in game and our group is precious small, so food alone should be an issue, let alone weather and potential sickness/injuries. Maybe just focus on settling in, making it more of a home for all of them, connecting, with minor events like snowstorms or hungry predator competing in hunting?

Great, Sonja! I've made your Flint account a Global Moderator. I hear you about the plot - big plot events right now with so many players 'up in the air' would be tricky. A snowstorm could be fun though! We'll see where we want to go once we've gotten a bit further in our current thread. And no worries about Tambri, Panda! I just wanted to make sure I didn't skip tagging anyone who hadn't posted in the current game thread You decide when Tambri joins int he game. |

It's so lovely to see this up and running again  Sadly I am quite swamped by work and other stuff, so I might just stay on hiatus with all my characters (Jaseio, Sefu and Swish), BUT if I do find the time for it I may just come back |

Yay, great to hear from you, Musen Totally get being swamped with work and life in general (it's my long hiatus reason too XD) No stress! Jump back in when and/or if you can and feel like it I'll note you as on hiatus in the "Who plays who" thread. Do you want us to mention your elves around the holt while you're on hiatus or do you want them to have temporarily vanished somewhere/gotten lost somewhere? |

They can be mentioned by others if they feel like it, but I would love to read along when they are mentioned, even if it is just a small side note 😊

Housekeeping continues! I'm thinking about e-mailing all non-active members of the holt (except you Musen since you've already confirmed you're on hiatus!) and ask them if they want to stay in the group or if they want us to have their elves disappear/die/get put up for adoption (according to the wishes on the elves' CISs). I'm thinking of putting the "deadline" for replying to that e-mail as the last of June. After that, people will be considered as having left the group - people can of course come back to the group too, should they end up wanting to do that in the future No info will be deleted. Does that sound okay to everyone? |

Yes, that sounds sensible! Just so we can (for now) update the info on who is around and play plots accordingly - if I look at out current group, they better not run into bigger danger anytime soon lol

First answer is in! Louw wishes us good fun with the holt, but has become a parent and thus has no time for this group. This means, Edgerunner is doomed to death! ;D Since we're not sure of how many elves we have left yet, I think we should wait with how Edgerunner dies - especially if he ends up having company... |

Maybe we could neatly tie this up with the aforementioned snowstorm plot? Sudden blizzard and a couple elves just don't come back + beacon taking some away who'd not sensible be far enough out to get "lost"

Yeah, it's a great way to cover all the basics I've given everyone until the last of June to let us know if they want to stay in the group or if they want to officially leave, so by then we should be ready for the blizzard plot! My suggestion is that we put the blizzard plot on the evening of day 30. |
