Totally random question, but I always wondered. Does canon ever specify how long an animal bond lives? I think the wolfrider wolves live longer than normal wolves because of their elf-blood, but I'm not sure overall. Is is true?
Also do you think it would be the same for cats bonded to cat-elves?
I have no idea.

Most Holts I've been in have elf-blooded animals live about 30 years , which is longer than most without such blood. But there's no canon evidence for how old they get.
My suggestion is 30-35 years for all larger animals with elf-blood.

Well the horses of Jas and Edge can get up to 40-50 years old naturally but they don't normally get that old, and that is without elf-blood. ^^ But I guess this was more for the blood-bonded :b

Choplicker died pretty young from old age...around 21, I think. But the Gatherum says elf-blooded wolves live into their 40s and 50s.

If the Gatherum says 40-50 years, I vote we go with that for all bond-friends
