Now that we know (or at least sort of know) who's still left in the holt, I think it's time we start planning our blizzard plot  No stress in wrapping up current threads, I just thought it could be a good idea to set an in-game date and think through how we'd like to play this. My suggestion for date is Day 33 (the 18th of March by Earth time) when even the elves with knowledge of similar climates would be surprised by a snowstorm of the magnitude we're planning  Do we want to start our elves already in one thread, or play out different parallel threads with some elves in the caves and some outside, having to struggle against the storm to get to safety? Some people want to hole up away from the others until the storm settles, having to survive with whatever food they hunted/brought along before the storm started? Update! As for threads, I'd go for one main thread and individual ones as needed depending on where the elves are - speaking for mine, with Milo being sensitive to weather shifts he'll sure be inside and if you're up to, could have mentioned a day or so before that his "bones hurt bc the weather will change" (though he has no way of predicting just how bad it'll get and it'd be not OOC for him to not mention it at all either). Flint is likely to be caught roaming outside, but given his world and his fire magic he'd make it back save and immediately offer to go back out and try to search for anyone lost - maybe with the help of Mahrak? If anyone wants their elves to get hurt/sick, with the combination of Crispins healing and Milos herb knowledge, that should be save to play out too!

Milo can definitely have sensed the weather! I'm sure that if he didn't say anything out loud about it, Choice and his parental instincts would have lead him to ask Milo if he was all right, should he see any sign of discomfort. He'll stick to staying inside with Milo, both because he's sensitive to cold weather and because he wants to keep Milo company. Keleero will also be inside the caves, to no one's surprise XD I'm thinking about having No-Sting and Swift-Wind out on a hunt, and have them be caught up in the blizzard, so we'll have some elves in need of rescue Mahrak would definitely join Flint in going in search of any lost elves. I'm thinking No-Sting or Swift-Wind might end up in trouble of the hurt/sick kind, so having healers on hand is definitely a plus! |

Sure, that's fine! Milo simply can't give any prediction beyond "the weather will change within the next day(s)" so while Choice could sure take this as a reason to stick inside caring for Milo, it's not enough to warn anyone - in later times maybe they'll heed to his weather sense lol

I'll start the thread once we have a few more of the current ones going wrapped up. It's good if our newest elves can get a bit more established, before we throw them all into a blizzard together (+ I am terrible at keeping track of many threads happening at difference times and the current amount of jumping in the timeline I have to do is making me dizzy XD)

To clarifying, we've currently got 4 active threads going (Exploring the Outside, Stargazing, Talk in the bath & Quiet Arrival), so as soon as at least one of those is wrapped up and finished, I'll feel ready to start the blizzard plot. How about everyone else? Oh and a quick plot-reminder, there's a sub-forum where everyone can make a post about their own characters. It can be good to have thread like that going, so other players know what kind of plots your character is up for and what sort of stuff you'd rather avoid in-game, especially now that we're coming onto a joint plot where there will be a least one death. |

At least one of the currently active threads is winding down. Should we perhaps get this plot on the road? Keleero and Choice will be starting their blizzard-time inside the caves, with Milo and any other elves who want to be there. I volunteer No-Sting and Mahrak, along with Swift-Wind, to be out on a longer hunting mission - maybe trying to track down that large pronghorn herd that's been seen around the holt more and more seldom? Where does everyone else want to start the blizzard? In one of those threads or somewhere else? Silvergill, Flint & Tambri? |

Flint is more of a lone hunter, so he'd be out on his own, come back to check on the others and then leave again to rescue the hunting group

"Spotfur" would be willing to help rescue if need be. Tracking skills, sense of smell. Tambri might be in the caves or nearby at least. Also willing to help.
I'm hoping to intro a character in the blozzard so I will work on that but I need a brain to bounce ideas off of.

Great! Then we only need to know where Crispin and Silvergill will start the Blizzard-day. I've made a list of all starting locations in this thread's first post. I've taken guesses at where Badger, Eryk, Juniper, Jaseio, Sefu and Swish would be. Will move them to other start-threads if their players voice different wishes. I can start the "searching for pronghorns"-thread and the "in the caves"-thread once we're all set to go. If you want to start a thread during the Blizzard, please start the title with Day 33: and then the rest of the thread's title, so we all at a glance can see what threads are parallel to each other. And if you want to brainstorm characters, Panda, feel free to start a thread about it here on the forum (I'd suggest under Game Discussions) |

I think since the blizzard will happen about a week and a half after Silvergill gets there, i think thats enough time for her to gather some winter furs and get to fishing for the holt. Maybe have her heading back from the river when it hits?

The first two threads in the Blizzard plot are up! Feel free to start your own threads or join the "Waiting Out the Storm" thread. The "In the Blizzard"-thread takes place a whole day's travel from the holt, so if your elf wasn't in the hunting party, they can't make it there too quickly (I thought we'd do some timejumps now and then when we feel they're needed, to avoid looooong threads of elves just running toward each other, so elves in the holt can join that thread later). All threads are linked on the Timeline. |

do the characters only appear in the beacon room? Or is there a possibility of being found in the blizzard outside? Curious because it depends on how I intro FarSight
