List of characters:- Rokuta – out and not coming back - Flint - (I'd like a second char in near future – nothing serious planned so far. Thinking of male, able to cook, maybe half-human as that would give some interesting interactions. Preferably from an existing tribe, anyone up for it?) Planned character plot ideas:Flint- have social contacts and find friends - let him deal with the loss of his brother - get him to understand that magic isn't bad - show him that the environment doesn't want to kill him - make stories out of his life on his strange home-planet - make someone a tattoo - paint the cave walls - learn more about the workings of his magic - obtain a sleeping place Up for:- almost anything - social interactions! Talking about anything from childhood to dreams, the small gestures that make the start of a friendship, exchanging knowledge ec. - relationships – more the (slow) developing case than heads-over-heels, this refers to friends and love alike - adventures/small quest that establish bonds between chars Not really up for:- explicit sex – of course it can come to this plotwise, but I won't write it out under any circumstances - torture – I'm bad at writing it and most things I don't want to happen to my chars, cause I can't stomach them. And you can do so much more with non-lifethreating actions This list will be updated over time. Have a plot idea involving one of my characters? Speak up!

Seeing as No-Sting also is very uncomfortable around magic, she might bond with Flint over being one of the few magic-wary elves in the holt She is always eager to make new friends! As for my other elves, I think Choice would be very willing to help Flint (and No-Sting too) learn to love magic as much as he does (even though he has none of his own) and he's always willing to listen and help others deal with grief or fear. Mahrak loves provoking others - he might try to freak Flint out a bit with his own water-shaping magic, if/when he finds out Flint is uncomfortable around magic, if that's okay with you Mahrak will likely throw in some flirting as well (not trying to rush any relationships with Mahrak, he'll likely flirt with everyone XD) and be a general nuisance. Keleero I'm not sure of yet. We'll see how they get along in-game

No-Sting and Choice surely will work – some talking to start with and then we see where it goes. Mahrak can of course tease Flint as much as he likes. The boy has gone through harsher things and nothing better than confrontation to work on his fear of magic. Once that settles in, he might even strike back – they are after all something like natural opposites magic-wise I think Flint would get along quite good with Keleero, on a basic of mutual understanding how it is to be wary of everything around you. If he ever learns his age, he might even turn to him as a sort of mentor for “how to survive the use of magic”

Yay, sounds great! Keleero is seeking allies and a fellow pureblood who knows to be Wary Of Everything Especially Magic will suit him well. Mentoring magic is a thing Keleero is very used to and often the way he chooses to seek allies, so that would work great for them as a basis for forming an alliance (as Keleero calls friendships). Will take him a while to form any kind of trust with Flint though, because Keleero is nr 1 at being paranoid XD And feel free to strike back as much as you want at Mahrak! He'll likely deserve it Btw, No-Sting and Choice would be curious about getting a tattoo, because No-Sting have never seen them before and to Choice tattoos are Super Important he really wishes he had one (though he'll be hesitant to get one without "proving himself worthy of one" first). Keleero has never heard of tattoos before and I don't think he'll be interested in getting one, at least not as things are now. Mahrak will however be interested in maybe getting another tattoos some day, though that will be at a later date if it happens Oh, and tag Flint in the thread ;D

I´m sure it will work out – Flint never got betrayed or hated or had any other bad experiences with people, so he is easy to trust. The only thing that ever did this was the landscape of Oblivion, but you can´t really blame the environment for being as it is XD And it´s his home after all. Keleero might even teach him something there, as it isn´t always good advice to be so trustful.
Well, Flint surely won´t turn anyone away who wants a tattoo^^ And he knows how serious the decision for a lifelong body adornment is, so there will be talking ahead of it anyway – he will warn them of the pain and that it make take hours, plan the motive and such. If Choice is hesitant, they could talk about Flints tattoos and the reasons for them first. Can´t imagine Keleero getting a tattoo either XD Yet alone because it involves to let someone with sharp things very near him and physically hurt him for hours.

Posting here mostly to remind myself what we had planned Looking forward to having our characters interact more - I definitely think Keleero is warming up to Flint! I'll bring my other characters along when the time feels suitable.

Good that you did, I all but forgot I had this.. Keleero and Flint sure so get along well! Their recent conversation had me thinking, that Flint could help Keleero overcoming his fear of the outside a bit, show him that the outside isn't going to kill him on the spot?

That could be a good idea! It will take Keleero a good while to get over his fear of the outside world (he's spent 3600+ years being scared of it after all XD) but having someone to ease him into that would definitely be a good idea

Flint won't just drag him outside! But he's been traversing the most dangerous imaginable lands all his life, so there can be wisdom exchanged - his on the outside world, Keleeros on not all magic being dangerous.

I'm sure Flint will be very sensible about these things - he seems a sensible kind of guy I'm sure our elves can help each other grow as people, little by litte!

That he is! Sensible kept him alive a long time and there is nothing wrong with being scared - just don't let it stop you. Mismatched groups growing together is always a fun to play

Excellent! I too adore when mismatched characters manage to work through culture clashes and misunderstandings to thrive (I'm also personally a sucker for conflicts ;D).

Sofia Thought a bit on the line of "flying away" that left Keleero so baffled and know what, in Flints very odd magic-filled world it'd be perfectly reasonable that there are elves for whom the default state is 'floating' and that it costs a constant effort to stay grounded. Will let that play into his slow effort to get Keleero outside

That will be quick the trip outside XD It'll be interesting to see Keleero and Flint compare their ideas of magic - since magic has always been pure natural and a source of safety for Keleero. Looking forward to exploring that dynamic more!

Yes, it's interesting since for Flint it was all "do not trust anything, not the nature, not your senses, least of all magic, it all can change and be horrible wrong" Milo is fitting in nicely too, I'd love for him and Choice to develop some actual dad-kid-bond
