It just occured to me today that our current posting order rule puts some pressure on people to post, in order to not "hold the game up" for other players.
Since this is supposed to be a low-demands Holt, I thought we might amend the rule (which is this): My suggested addition to the rule is that if the player and/or players you're waiting for hasn't posted within a week from the last post made in the thread, it's okay to go ahead and skip their turn.
Would that work? Should it be more or less time?
And of course the person getting "skipped" isn't out of the thread - they can just jump back in and start posting whenever they get online again with time for roleplaying.

I think that's fair. I think a week is more than enough time. I realize it's a low demands holt, but there are other people waiting. If it was longer, someone who is able to be more active might get annoyed at having to wait 14 or 15 days to be able to post again. 7 Isn't really that' unreasonable.

Yeah, I think it is a very reasonable time limit as well

Since no one has protested, I'll add this to the rules. Will also add that if you haven't posted in a thread in a month's time, your character will be temporarily written out of said thread (i.e. they get asked to go get some water or something), so the other players won't have to come up with excuses as to why that elf is standing around being silent - the elf can of course still come back to the thread when their player has time to write again

Another tweak of the rules for posting:
Old version of the rule:
New version: Is everyone okay with this change? I thought the rule was a little tricky otherwise, since they just meant the same thing for four players as for three.
