Badger's finger brushing her arm sent a pleasant shiver down No-Sting's spine. She gave Badger a smile that was a bit too wide and bright to simply be agreement, and nodded. ~**Help would be welcome! It looks like quite hard work, but the pelt will be good in this cold. Hopefully the newcomer likes to share.**~ The nod she then gave Eryk was not unfriendly, but didn't signal the same level of familiarity - or wish for further familiarity. "You catch as much breath as you need," No-Sting said to Eryk, taking the lead toward the hot springs. "It is quite the turmoil to arrive here. If you'd like to speak of things, you'll have more than one willing ear, but we'll understand if you'd rather keep to yourself for a bit." She kept he words light, not wanting to burden Eryk either with the pressure to speak or keep silent.

The words didn't make much sense to her, but SL2657F's gaze was able to follow Keleero's gestures. Something about that crystal... Brought. She caught that word. So the crystal brought them here? How? Taken? Admittedly, her knowledge of magic was extremely limited. Perhaps there was a magic force that could transport elves around? She didn't see why that wouldn't be possible in a non-Denari Elf... Their magic wasn't limited in the way the Denari were.
Keleero did seem confused about the location as well, or at least the words he spoke hinted that he didn't know where they were. Glancing towards the door, she slowly began to push herself up. "Me... Look?" She gestured to the opening before she started that way. She wasn't running, rather she had a slight limp that was starting to fade. She had seen many maps of the world. Her position as a special ops fighter had allowed her to see the terrain of many places. Perhaps she could see a landmark? Something she'd recognize? If she could find out where she was, then that meant she could find her way back.
Glancing over her shoulder, her ears perked slightly. She was expecting them to stop her since they did seem rather eager to keep her from going outside. Outside... where it felt like the chill of death. Somewhere far to the north, at least... Where else would be this cold this time of year?
OOC: Feel free to stop her. She won't get violent.

Badger responded to No-Sting's smile with her own, bright smile. She did not think it was too wide or eager considering the situation, but noticed as No-Sting used the term 'sharing'. It tossed the wolfrider maiden a little off the loop, as she realized she did not have any idea of the tuft-eared female's preferences. She nodded again and blinked her confusion away, moving toward the beast carcass.
"I am pretty impressed. It's a big animal.", she commented and looked at the grey-haired go-back who was slowly leaving the cave. It was a wonder Eryk had not suffered more injuries... Or maybe he had, but he did not want to show any weakness. Many elves were like that. "We'd better move this carcass outside, because skinning and butchering will be messy, I think.", she suggested.

"A-alright...", Eryk murmured and started to limp out of the Beacon room with the rest of the mending supplies. He supposed that they would have stopped him already, if they had wanted him to stay, but as they seemed to let him be, the confused and weary go-back had decided he needed some time alone and quiet.
OoC: Eryk out unless tagged.

Using a nook in the wall, the young one stopped in mid-climb to turn and take a look around, trying to catch a glimpse of the ocean. He knew it was there, right behind this merge of grass swamp and black pine forest, everything slowly invading the space of the other, but he wasn´t high enough yet. Not that he´d take this effort for the view, Flint hoped to find some rare herbs or even a birds nest on top of this structure. Anything less and his whole afford would be in vain. This world did not take mistakes easily. And he was a fool, to think something that looked and felt like stone, that had been there unchanged every time he had crossed through this area, was safe just becaused it had been that the last times. Things changed. When he continued his way up, he felt magic starting to work, rock shifting and soften under his hands – Flint had no change but to move faster, hoping that he could reach a safe place, praying it would just stop and cursing himself for taking the risk of this tower alone, without his brother at the end of a secure line. One moment he grabbed a new hold, the next he was dropping in free fall, a short cry breaking the silence of the forest, startling birds, and then....
… he landed with a thud on some stone, his backpack preventing major injuries. Still it was uncomfortable to lie upon his whole belongings, so Flint sat up shortly after, looking around startled. How had he managed to get into a cave? There wheren´t any in the swamp, at least not the last time he checked. And everything felt off after a moment – as if he´d been robbed of his magic feeling, just that it had been there all his life, never failing. The option that this was a safe place, without magic coursing through every single grain of matter, didn´t even come to his mind. It wasn´t possible. Flint had roamed his home planet all life, never encountering anything like this. For the time being, he just sat there quite baffled, failing at the attempt to make sense of his surroundings. If there was anything else but rock, he didn´t notice it.

One moment Mahrak was making his way through a grassy field, talking with Nightbird, and then suddenly he found himself...somewhere else. The sudden change made him stumble and he had to catch himself against a wall - a cave wall?! - to not fall flat on his face. Deeply unsettled, it took Mahrak a moment or two to take in his surroundings: and all the variations of elves in said surroundings. "What in the world is going on here?" Longsleep, the white tiger who was Mahrak's bond-friend, made an amusingly kitten-ish noise of complaint as he found himself with rock instead of grass beneath his paws. Following this up with a huff of annoyance, Longsleep distracted himself by examining one of the new elves they'd apparently found. OOC: Sorry Flint, you're getting your personal space full of curious tiger

OOC: This thread is getting rather long, so I think a bit of a time-jump would be helpful If no one has any objections I suggest all people still active in this thread have a quick reaction to the new arrivals and then we jump forward in time, a few hours, to the next day, or further– maybe split up into different threads? IC:Keleero did not protest as SL2657F made her way toward the exit. Now that she wasn't running out in blind panic (or rage?) she would likely do as most elves did and stay hidden. The human settlement was a far way off through the woods – surely no elf, no matter how cat-like, would rush off into the unknown without being mad with panic or pain? Her limp would make that difficult, at least. “You look if you wish,” he said to her, waiting for Jaseio to translate. “Just don't go too far into the woods. There are humans out there.” He hesitated. She was speaking some form of human tongue, so surely she knew what humans were and how dangerous they were. Surely. It seemed most people were settling down and leaving for other business. Keleero watched Eryk leave, Badger and No-Sting close on his heels with the carcass of the snowcat. He did not envy them the hard and messy work of skinning such a creature. He was about to make a comment to Panaetha and Jaseio about this evening being full of madness when the Beacon flashed anew. This time it unburdened something utterly terrifying into the cave. **Cat!** Keleero open-sent on pure instinct and almost hit his head on the ceiling in his attempt to get as far away as possible from the giant striped snowcat that had appeared before him. It looked more interested in one of the two new arrivals – the poor thing – but he couldn't make himself attack or act this time. Other elves were familiar opponents; animals, not so much.

No-Sting nearly lost her hold on the dead snowcat she was helping Badger carry when the flash of the Beacon's light was followed by a panicked open-sending from Keleero. She half-turned to look over her shoulder and was surprised to see a huge white can with black stripes sniffing at a new elves in a...curious manner. No-Sting might not be familiar with this type of cat, but since its shape and body language reminded her of her own Oddspot's mannerisms she couldn't find it in herself to be alarmed. Instead, she loudly said: "That better be someone's bond-friend!"

SL2657F was making her way out of the cave when the bright flash of light caught her attention. Instinct took over and she crouched, looking back into the room, her ears going from flat against the sides of her head to straight up as her eyes widened with what she saw. A second flash, which also caused her to jump, was equally intriguing. There were now two new elves and a large cat that had appeared! Was this how she got here? She could feel the cold from the entrance on her back. Glancing over her shoulder she inched again towards the entrance of the caves and peered outside. This was not the mountain she had been on earlier that... day?
Looking around, she found what appeared to be a rather tall tree and began to climb, glancing periodically out into the distance. If she could just see a landmark... anything. Her army? Her people? Nothing. This mountain was not one she'd seen on any map of the Denari lands. Not even those they hadn't conquered. This mountain wasn't... from her world? A different world? Where was she? Her hand shot up to the small device affixed to the back of her neck, feeling and mentally counting the little bubbles over and over. She seemed, if any even saw her, rather fixated on it. Was she dead? She was dead. She had to be. She went down the hill, saw the rock coming, hit her head, woke up and had clearly been soaked in the river that had been at the base of that hill. She'd drowned. She was unconscious and drowned in the river. She had no way to know if the lights on the device were blinking, which the yellow one now was. Her breathing was coming more rapidly as she tried to calm herself down. If she was dead, though, why would she be hyperventilating? How else could she explain it?
There were supposed to be humans out here. She didn't know why, but that simple thought terrified her. If these elves weren't Denari... and if this mountain wasn't from her world... The humans wouldn't be Denari, either... and she did know the distant history of how Elves were conquered by the Denari centuries ago. If these humans were at all like the Denari back then, she was not safe out in the open. She climbed down the tree once more, landing with a soft thud before she made her way back into the cave.
She only made it a few steps inside before she collapsed once more against the wall of the cavern, a look of stunned... almost panic... on her features as her hand went back to mindlessly counting the raised bubbles on the device once more. For the first time in her life, she didn't know how to react to a situation.

By the time he realised that there were other people inside this cave, he was already cornered by some big animal. It seemed similar enough to some smaller ones back home, but based on former encounters with living things, he wouldn't take any chances. Flint pressed his back against the stone and calmed his breathing, instincts taking the lead. Look in the face, but not the eyes. Be prepared to move. Don't appear as a threat. Stay silent. For everyone watching, it probably seemed as if he tried to play dead – but the young one was highly alert. He wouln't act unless provoked, albeit he knew what he could do. If he couldn't be faster and wasn't stronger, he still had his sword. His fire magic was a last resort and hopefully not necessary. After all, it could make things worse than they were, no matter how useful it was to scare away animals. Only with a glance took he in the other... elves they were, he supposed. They walked on two legs, they could talk, they looked similar enough to him – his mother hadn't described it any much different. But she hadn't give him any useful advice apart from ´being nice´. What did that mean anyway? How should he react? What was considered ´nice´, if you were among strangers, somewhere who knows how far away from home? And would it even be the best idea or did this only count at home? Flint stayed silent, not reacting to anything spoken or send, concentrating on the big animal in front of him, taking one problem at a time.

Badger gasped audibly as another elf, and yet another dropped to the Beacon Room. She was not thrilled at the presence of new wild cat, and she full-heartedly agreed with No-Sting; that better be someone's bond. The female wolfrider lifted the snowcat carcass with an 'ungh' and looked at her new friend. "We'd better get this thing out. It's getting crowded.", Badger suggested to No-Sting and rebalanced the load on her shoulder. She looked at the way where the grey-haired lad had disappeared and felt bad for him. It was no doubt a shock for the go-back... As much as it had been for her. She then turned to look at the newer newcomers and sighed. "At least we don't have to repeat ourselves that often.", the maiden said to no one in particular and looked if No-Sting was going out with her or if she preferred staying. ~*~ OoC: We can break out to another thread, if you wish, No-Sting.

Mahrak flinched then laughed at the sudden, loud sending that crashed against his mind. The source of the sending wasn't hard to locate. The moment the cave he'd ended up in came fully into focus he could make out the many elves around him. Joy and excitement rivaled for his attention. He made himself stifle that for a bit, stood up and grinned at the elf who'd sent.
“Yes, Longsleep is a cat. And my bond,” Mahrak said, the last in reply to the female elf who'd spoken out loud. “Well, he's actually a tiger. But Nightbird told me-” Speaking of her... “Uhm, I seem to have mislaid a companion. You haven't seen a maiden with dark skin, about this height?” Blinking, Mahrak took notice of the poor dead snowcat two of the elves were carrying out of the cave. “Uhm, what happened here?”
::Longsleep, near me,:: he made sure to send to his bond-friend. As happy he was to see more, strange elves he wasn't about to risk his dearest friend to jumpy cat-killers.
Longsleep, still mildly curious about the new people around him, took his sweet time shuffling the few steps back over to Mahrak. Having no experience with aggressive elves, Longsleep simply half-curled himself around his bond-friend, still standing, curious and as alert as he ever got.
“So...” Mahrak said after a moment's silence, ”uhm, how did I end up here?”
OOC: Leaving this as Mahrak's last post in this thread. If No-Sting and Badger are leaving to skin the snowcat, maybe the rest of us could start another thread (maybe having the elves gather in the cave with the sleeping places?) with a tiny timejump, having our newly arrived elves react to having been told by Keleero + whoever what their situation is, in more detail?

“Well,” No-Sting said, a little taken a-back by this anticlimactic turn of events. That strange snowcat was huge but didn't seem all that threatening. Not if it had the same body language as a lynx. “That's good then. We...We should go take care of this.” No-Sting gave Badger a quick nod, showing she was ready for her to lead the way outside. It was getting pretty crowded in there and she didn't want to be around when these two latest ones found out about what they'd lost. She did like meeting new people but... The trauma of her own apperance here was fresh enough still – she didn't feel the need to put kindling on that fire. OOC: Let's go to another thread, Badger! Feel free to start one and I'll jump in

Keleero stared in horror as the humongous cat before him settled down around the short red-haired newcomer like an obedient pet. This...this was an elf not to antagonize – at least not at this moment. The other one of the latest two looked to be playing dead. Why does that cursed rock keep bringing people here? Keleero found himself thinking for the eight-upon-eight time. He then cleared his throat and said, somewhat embarrassed: “Ah. It seems you could use some food and maybe a longer explanation. Would you accompany me to another room? Many of us aren't quite...comfortable in this room right now.” This invitation he extended to the cat-like elf who'd appeared before the red-haired one and the one trying to not look threatening. Though she unsettled Keleero greatly he knew better than to show that too openly, at least not now when he had himself back under more control. It was best to get an idea of these newcomers, know who might be a future threat or a future ally. OOC: Are people ready for a quick timejump and a relocation to the sleeping cave? People are of course free to suggest and/or start other threads as well

Whatever a bond was, the tiger didn't harm him and finally went back to the redhead. Flint exhaled slightly – it wasn't that he was scared of the big cat, but better to be cautious than dead. As the cat seemed to belong to to the other one, his focus shifted back to everyone else. Slowly, while listening, he got back up in a sitting position, still unsure what to do. Sure, he had questions about this whole thing, but usually there was no one who could answer, expect for Sapling and his brother didn't knew any more than he did. Also, he was sure that this wasn't his homeplace, that some wicked magic played a role in his abduction and that his brother was nowhere near, so what more was there to explain? Still he nodded and got up to his feet, waiting for the flying one to lead the way. Safe or not, he wouldn't run blindly into any cave, not after his previous encounter with the tower of shifting stone – but this was the first time ever he met other elves and he wouldn't let this change go to waste.
OOC: I'm up for a timejump and relocation^^
