OOC: Giving Stephanie until Friday to post with Reefshadow - since she last posted with him here at the end of October and I can't get a hold of her via e-mail, I'll post with Keleero and nudge Reefshadow out of the thread (send him for help) if she hasn't posted by then. PS to Stephanie - no stress! Reefshadow can always pop back into the thread whenever you have time to post, if you can't post before Friday

"Helloo..."Swift-Wind walked into a strange view, when getting back to the cave and her voice went dead silent. A dead big animal, new people with weapons...She did not know what to make of this and was almost afraid to breathe. Still she tried to formulate a question, but all she got out was "What...who...when?" and then went silent again.

~**I have no idea what just was said,**~ Keleero answered Eryk, a little unsettled by receiving a sending from a stranger so soon after a first meeting. He felt no probing from the stranger though, and they had more important matters to think of. ~**I think it'd be best if we sent for a healer for her. There are...dangers outside she might encounter.**~ Millenia of sending with people who meant him ill, Keleero had gotten quite good at controlling what he shared and didn't share in sendings. He couldn't outright lie or eavesdrop, of course - only the most skilled could - but he knew enough to twist his thoughts a bit. In his sending to Eryk he hinted at the humans he knew to live down by the coast, outside of the woods. He made sure to show only his worry, to make it seem his concern was for the stranger's safety. In reality, he worried more for himself and those he'd begun to call 'comapions' if not friends. If the humans saw or killed something as strange as this newcomer, they would surely search the woods for more strange things. With the newcomer also seeming to speak a human language... That brought an idea to light in the midst of all worry. ~**We could use your help in the Beacon Room, Jaseio,**~ Keleero lock-sent, letting Eryk and Reefshadow in on the sending. ~**We have newcomers here and one of them seem to speak the five-fingers' language.**~ There was no guarantee it was a human language, or that it was the one Jaseio knew, but it was worth a shot. Keeping a respectful distance from the feline newcomer, Keleero said: "I think we need one of the healers here, Reefshadow." He watched the sea-elf leave the Beacon Room just as Swift-Wind entered, thus missing out on the malfunction of the latest newcomer's eerie weapon. Keleero did his best to keep his heart from racing or his hands from shaking - more elves in the Beacon Room could only mean more trouble. "Swift-Wind," Keleero said, his voice brittle, "we have gotten two newcomers just this moment. As you can see, one of them is less than...happy about being here. Not very understandable either." To this he added, in locked sending to Swift-Wind: ~**She might get violent.**~ OOC: Moved Reefshadow temporarily out of the thread until Stephanie has time to post again. This means the elves in this thread now are Keleero, Eryk, SL2657F and Swift-Wind. Since I just updated the " posting order rules", here's some quick info: - After posting, wait for at least two other players to post before you take your turn again. - If you haven't posted in a week, your turn can be skipped. - If you haven't posted in a month your elf can be nudged out of the thread. I hope this won't stress anyone out! Real life goes before roleplaying always

Ooc: sounds reasonable to me.
SL2657F was still coughing into her shoulder when the mew female came in just as the younger sea elf turned to leave. The sudden movement made her nervous, body tensing as she pointed the disabled plasma gun at the new arrival. So far, it seemed, no one had caught on that it wouldn't fire at the moment.
"<You! Mo-->" Turning her head again she began coughing once more. She had to get out of here. Deciding, since the younger one likely ran for help, now was her only chance, she turned to make a break for the exit of the strange cave-room she was in.
Pain from the burn in her right leg and the various other aches and bruises from her fall threatened to throw her to the ground but she forced herself to stay upright. She glared at the white haired male hoping he would move out of the way since she wasn't sure if she'd stay upright on a collision.
"<Move!>" what was the word in Elfin? Curse her if she were ever caught speaking it, but they didn't seem to speak her language!

OoC: Just a side note, Eryk is being referred to as white-haired, when he is -- in fact -- grey-haired. His hair is silvery grey. :-)
~*~
With Reefshadow out of the room -- only to be replaced by someone else -- the tension did not actually relieve at all. Eryk kept his hand on his ax, his face on a frown, as the stranger garbled weird words in barking manner at the others, and then at him. He was tired and achy, but so seemed to be the new person as well. The words went misunderstood again.
"Well, <moo> to you too." he grumbled, wondering if the garbled word meant something bad or something. It certainly sounded like a curse word, but Eryk did not know. This attempt to mimic the stranger's words would have been hilarious, if he had understood the language or if the situation had not been too dire. As it seemed that the bird-like elf did not know the meaning of the words either, Eryk tried to send to the stranger.
There was no words, only questioning feeling. Eryk was poor sender at his worst, only average at his best.

OOC: Reasonable directions
IC: Swift-Wind was really worried about the situation, and Keleeros words echoed through her. And if she hadn't gotten the warning that the girl might get violent she would have jumped high when she got a gun pointed at her. She lock-sent to Keleero ~**Thanks for the heads up. What is wrong with her?**~
And the other one was trying to talk to her, but it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing, though she appreciated the gesture. Though she did notice he was quite tense. She tried to smile and talk calmly in order to lessen the tension: "Nice to see you. When did you arrive?"

Ooc: just in case it was missed she is actually in the process of charging for the exit. It was a small sentence so could have been missed.

~**Swift-Wind, are you back yet? I think there is trouble in the Beacon Room.**~ No-Sting lock-sent to Swift-Wind, not known her warning came too late.

~**I don't know wha-**~ Keleero began to lock-send back to Swift-Wind. His thoughts were cut short when the newest arrival looked to be charging for the exit. Reflex took over Keleero's actions. He couldn't let the newcomer rush off into the forest outside, risking their discovery by the local humans! Unthinking he reached out with his magic. The exit out of the Beacon Room shaped itself shut. Any elfin eyes would have seen the glow of magic that surrounded it before it became solid rock. Or, well, what looked to be solid rock. Keleero had only shaped a thin layer of rock over the opening, to make it easy to open again. Still, this left the elves in the Beacon Room with only two tunnels leading away from it, instead of the previous three. And no exit out of the mountain. OOC: New map of the caves is up in the Maps-thread, in case people are unsure of what the caves look like now.

SL2657F knew there were restricted magics but the simple fact that they were restricted and that restriction was strictly enforced she had never seen any of them in use except for some of the gliding or healing ones. She certainly had never seen or even known that an elf could cause a rock wall to grow from other rock!
Stumbling, her eyes widening in surprise at the sudden wall, she barely managed to limp to the wall. Reaching one hand out she touched the stone in disbelief, pulling her hand back at first as if she expected to be hurt by it.
"<How?>" She whispered the word to herself before she slowly started turning, partially using the wall to keep herself up. Her hand was shaking as she held the plasma gun, eyes still wide. What was the word? Her ears flicked and swiveled as she thought over what she knew of the Elfin language. "H..how?" At least it was obvious that she had a basic understanding of what was being said.
The hand that was against the rock wall slowly dropped to press against her side, the gun lowering as well, though she wasn't letting it go. She looked between those gathered, still nervous as she moved to take a step forward. The action was halted as her leg started to give out again forcing her to brace herself against the wall. What she really wanted to do was let her body collapse to the floor bit she wasn't sure she was safe.
It was obvious she was in pain and just as obvious that she knew she required attention. Until now she had tried to hide any indication of her weakness. She let out another heavy cough, her body still affected by swallowing a large amount of water.
What did they want with her? Who are these elves? She slowly pulled her finger from over the trigger of the gun, an indication she hoped would tell them she was willing to talk. For now. Slowly, the gun clicked back into the holster on her left thigh with her hand moving a few inches away. Far enough to relay the message but close enough if she needed to bluff again.

Eryk simply watched the commotion take place. There was nothing he could do at the moment. Warily, he gave a side-eye on the snowcat carcass and wondered, when they'd get out from the sealed room. He needed to cure the leather, and the carcass should be chopped and stored.
The carpenter noticed the sealed entrance. He was not a cave expert, but he wished there was an air vent. Otherwise they'd all pass out with lack of air in no time.

OOC: Just posting to clarify, in case there was any confusion: Keleero has been shaping air vents into the caves and tunnels. He wouldn't be brave enough to seal himself inside a mountain without air Waiting on Swift-Wind before I post Keleero's reaction.

Jaseio gently rubbed Rjúkandi under his chin as she received Keleero’s sending. ~** I will be there in a bit to see what this newcomer is about then,**~ she locksent back to Keleero. ::Wait nearby my friend I will come back as soon as I can:: she sent to Rjúkandi, as she ended her check-up of him. She patted his shoulder as she turned from him towards the entrance to the caves.
Usually newcomers were quite disoriented, so she decided to make herself known as she went through the first leather opening, as if she was dealing with a slightly skittish horse. <I’m coming inside. Is everything fine in here?> Jaseio asked in the human language she had always used. It was a human tongue that had been influenced by the elven language since they had existed side by side for a long time. She was surprised by how dark it suddenly turned in the entrance and even more so when her hand touched a stone surface where the opening was supposed to open into the Beacon Room. Confused by this, and worried what turn the meeting had taken, she sent to Kelero, ~**Keleero? What has happened? I’m sorry I was a bit slow, but I’m here now. Is it safe in there?**~ She could hear a murmur of voices from the other side of the stone and put her ear against the wall to see if should could hear what was being said.

Swift-Wind answered No-Sting ~**You couldn't have told me a bit earlier? I think I'm caught in some kind of...I don't know. There's new people here. Not so friendly, one of them has a weapon and has been acting hostile. I don't know what to do. Keleero seems to have taken control of the situation.**~
Right after sending this she saw the new one charge for the door and Keleero changing the exit. Suddenly there was no exit. She was torn between being scared and by being impressed by Keleeros abilities. She couldn't help herself so she lock-sent her comment to Keleero ~**Amazing! I wish I could do that!**~ Outloud she said nothing and just stood there with facial expressions mixed between chock and awe.
