Seeing as the games is coming to a natural (and understandable) pause now for the holidays, I thought I'd start a little character discussion to entertain and do a little planning for when the game starts up again. The question for this dicussion is: What sub-plots would you be interested in for your elf/elves?For example, my elves Choice and No-Sting have some sub-plots set up for them, Choice with his Recognition and No-Sting with her developing feelings for Badger. (Choice and No-Sting are still open to other sub-plots, if anyone has ideas involving them!) Keleero on the other hand is currently sub-plot-free and I'd like to remedy that! Ideas: he's very freaked out by elves having animal ancestors and he has a lot of mental scars from past abuse, some of said abuse magical in nature. I'd love to play out more conflict about Keleero's fear of animal-blood! Any takers for helping bring that about? I aim to have him come to terms with it eventually, but until then I'd love for there to be some drama Also, I'd love for Keleero to get some true friends and begin to heal - one day in the future even ask Mindlight for a mind-healing, but that is far away yet. Any takers? And what ideas do you have for your own elves? I'm always up for helping along other's sub-plots either as friend or foe!

Still not back but just popped by to check things out. If I'm still around come January, you could always bounce Keleero off Tinder. He already reminds her of her soulbrother Shard with his being a rockshaper. It'd be interesting for her to learn more about pureblooded elves too. Her mother is a pureblooded glider-descendant, while her father is the feline-blooded one. So Tinder doesn't know much about how different they are individually and culturally.
Mutual exchange of ideas, plus I'd like to investigate part of your posts ages ago in the rpg when you posted that Keleero was leery of fireshapers. Which makes things more interesting. Tinder is feeling self-conscious because of her magic. Plus she's grown up using it openly, so being surrounded by elves that find fire-magic uncomfortable like Juniper is a very new thing for her. She doesn't quite understand their perspectives and or feelings on it, partly because she doesn't know about their history etc with fireshapers.
Keleero could help educate her, and vice versa, though he might find her a bit uncouth.
She's blunt and forward like Nettle and Slinker.

Keleero and Tinder teaching each other things would be a very interesting sub-plot! Keleero might seem a bit stand-offish at first, but he'll do his best to get friendly and talk with anyone who approaches him, to gather "allies" as he sees it. Eventually such mutual exchanges might grow to a friendship, which would be lovely to see develop. Looking forward to Tinder and Keleero interacting further! I'd also love to continue the teasing-sort-of-antagonistic interaction between Keleero and Slinker What can I say, I'm a sucker for conflict And I don't at all mind having Keleero be the "bad guy" or in the wrong in any argument! He is a messed up, overly suspicious and prejudice elf, so he'll most likely put his foot in his mouth both one and eight times XD As for which elves are afraid of fire magic and which aren't, I'd say Keleero is terrified of any powerful magic (yes, he's leery of for example Plant-Shaping too - so jumpy that one!), No-Sting is wary of magic in general, while Choice has nothing against magic and sees it only as useful and helpful. He has no experience with elves using violence or magic against one another, unlike Keleero and No-Sting (and No-Sting has only heard legends of such things, so she'll probably get comfortable around Tinder pretty soon). Oh, and happy holidays to you and everyone else on the forum!

Greywing has no sub-plots planned. Panaetha does, but keeping that to myself (and Sofia) for now.

Panaetha's sub-plot is indeed in the works! Would you like to brainstorm about one for Greywing too, or are you good as things are right now?

LOL!
Kewl XD. Will keep Keleero on his toes. Excellent. Nods, Tinder needs a bit of a helping hand or a firm shove. Feel free to prod her. Slinker though, XD, it is hilarious writing him interacting with Keleero. He seems to rub everyone the wrong way in the holt. XD. Quite amusing, since he's like a puppy testing its teeth by chewing on new things or in this case new elves to see what they're like. I do apologise if he's been a bit rough and tumble. I'm still finding my feet in the holt so it's reflected in my charries.
Keleero will unfortunately always be Slinker's favourite chew-toy without the fur-tumbling.
He's too bird-like and chewable.
You know how puppys' are. If it's fluffy and colourful and loud and squawky it always gets chewed on like a pretty puffy squeaky toy.

I don't really have anything planned for Jas. If Egderunner comes back in play again they have some things to sort out, but beyond that I think she will need someone to talk with about crafting clothes. Her, and Tinder seem to be off for a good start with that :b Since she grew up in an environment with no natural enemies, I think it would be interesting for her to experience some danger in that category I'm always up for building friendships or helping others' sub-plots with her, though I don't think she would be good as an enemy.

Oh! Good idea! XD! I think Jaseio would have the more experience there though than Tinder. Being older and wiser. They can compare notes! Kewl!
Oh! I forgot about my Nettle too. I'd like her to spend some time trying to figure out where she and Choice stand with one another. They've got some things I think that they'd need to talk about/sort out while they help everyone else make the holt livable.

Jaseio - there should be plenty of danger for her to stumble into Keleero also has no true experience with outside dangers (he's only ever been in danger from other elves), so maybe they could bond over that? Choice and No-Sting are also open to friendship! Choice especially - he's thirsty for friendly elfin interaction after being so long away from everyone. @pyre - Nettle and Choice do indeed have a lot to discuss! It will be fun to play out in-game how they'll handle the Recogniton now that they've gotten the most urgent part of it out of the way

Ah yes, of course - sorry, I'm juggling a lot of storylines in a lot of Holts so I almost forgot about Greywing's future plots. Anyways, good luck with finding Greywing's voice! Some characters can be trickly like that.

I don't have much plans for either of my characters and my mind is at the moment drawing all blanks.

Reefshadow has absolutely nothing planned for him; I made him and thought that this would be an amazing setting for someone who's lived such a relaxed lifestyle.
Sunset and Tinder, of course, have things to work out. Sunset herself has some serious issues to work through, on top of that, but I don't think I have actual plot for her in my head. If anyone has ideas, I'm more than happy to listen!
Mindlight's only goal is to find a way home to her lifemate, soul sister, and son. What she encounters on the way? Up in the air.

All of my characters are always open to help other elves get some plot going, should you want it Individual plots aren't a must, neither this early in the game or later on. But should either of you want to brainstorm some for your characters I'm always eager to talk plot! All my elves are open to be included in any ideas you may have for your elves in the future, and we do have the trolls and humans too sneaking about - individual plots should probably not start wars, but spotting other creatures is not a problem PS. No-Sting and Badger's awkward flirting counts as an individual plot, maybe?
