Type of elves Sea-elves, a few pureblooded, and mixes of the two
Soul Names: This tribe has soul names and are born knowing them; the pureblooded elves use their soul names as their sound names, like with the Sunfolk.

Recognition: Recognition is normal, though there are those who have reproduced outside of it. While not unusual for Recognized couples to lifemate and establish families, it is not unprecedented for some to do their duties and then go their separate ways. There are more than a few children who have parents who are not their birth parents as well as the Recognized pair.
Location From another world; the holt is located in the North, the name alluding to both the color of the sand and the chill. The holt itself is located in the side of a high cliff face, leading out onto a half-moon shaped beach. The only way in or out is the cave mouth, which occasionally floods, and the only way onto the beach is by water, or air if you fly, or the rare person brave enough to scale the cliff.
Culture The holt prides themselves on the number of shapers: metal, wood, and bone. They have more than a few water shapers as well. Names are often sea-based, but there are sometimes those - like the pureblooded - who simply use sound names.
Events Current season is the White Cold; the tribe is currently preparing for the festival of Floating Ice, which involves taking out boats (for those who can’t swim, and to carry perishables) to the nearest ice floes for a party.
