Here's a list of all confirmed flora and fauna where our elves live, separated by which side of the mountain they're mostly found; the one with the coast or the one with the barrier (see the map). Feel free to add your own suggestions! FaunaOn the coast side:- Badgers
- Bears
- Branch-horns (deer)
- Crows
- Fish, e.g. huchen
- Foxes
- Squirrels
On the barrier side:We haven't explored here yet. FloraOn the coast side:- Birch
- Evergreen trees (Spurce)
- Pine trees
- Strangleweed with thorns - active in winter, tastes good but is most likely not good for eating since it was made through 'bad magic' during the Palace crash at this location. The trolls use it as traps so it's quite common in the forest near the mountain, watch out!
On the barrier side:We haven't explored here yet.

Slinker and Sunset have run across some thorny strangleweed that's vicious but edible. I vote that it's 'regular' strangleweed that got twisted by the spoiled magic after the Palace Crash - and thus, eating it might not be advisable Also, I suspect the trolls have planted it. An excellent trap to have around that blends in with nature!

LOL, Yeah Slinker already ate a little bit of it. >.>. He hasn't died yet, so he's still alive. He thinks it's sweet like honey. Weird.

I was thinking the strangleweed could have a sort of slow, intoxicating effect. Slinker didn't eat much of it, so he'll probably only end up dizzy a few hours after he ate it and then have a bit of a headache, but he's in no real danger You can have him be dizzy or having a headache during the "Scouting" thread if you want, or you can decide that it's passed already. Eating a lot of strangleweed however can land an elf in a coma, so try not to overeat XD

I was thinking that for tanning, we need something called lye to wash the hides, and the only way to get that is to cook the burnt ashes of hardwood, and so far the only type of hardwood there is is birch... Maybe we should have some more types of hardwood? I can do some more research on what types of hardwood trees would fit in in our environment:D

Sure, add away with hardwood trees! Just as long as they fit the climate

Hardwood species that could be added: Alder, and Aspen. And depending on how far north they are: Ash, Maple, and Oak. For some reason the few softwood species in the north are more widespread, than the ones of hardwood, in the north, and so there might not be many hardwood trees around, but it is possible for them to "intermingle", so they could well be found near the small holt. But also I don't think they should be mentioned as hard- or softwoods, just as good wood for fire or not. And since hardwood burns better, hotter, and longer, it is the preferred fire wood, especially for cooking, and smoking.

I'm no use with this stuff. The only flora and fauna I know of doesn't have English names.
