I would really love for Choice to Recognize again - it would just be so interesting to see him deal with that with how it ended for him last time

My suggestion is that we have a randomized Recognition, and depending on the outcome of that selection, we can also have a planned Recognition. With the in-game Recognitions until now having ended in No Baby due to the mothers-to-be vanishing, I think it'd make "biological sense" for Recognition to get a little more frequent for a bit, in an attempt to get some actual new elves going.

Thoughts on that?

I would love for Choice to Recognize Cripsin! Not only would that make for a happy outcome for him, but it would help him feel the difference between knowing the sounds of Crispin's soul name and knowing her soul - and that would in turn help him be more relaxed about using Milo's soul name. So if that's okay with you, I'm happy to plan out a Recognition between Choice and Crispin

Gladly! We could do it and a random draw in the Unity thread - the past Recognitions happened around large gatherings too after all. Though with Choice and Crispin getting one, I'd take Flint out of the pool for this round, so the other players get a chance at it too

Perfectly understandable! Editing the first post in this thread to reflect this.

Edited to add: I think having the random Recognition happen in the Unity thread would make sense, and be a rather dramatic cap to the Recognition discussion. Thoughts from other players?

Also, does anyone have a suggestion for how we should do the random draw? I can do a random number generator thing with those likelier to Recognize getting to pick 3 numbers from a list and Juniper picking 1 since he's not likely to Recognize again but still in the pool, but if someone has a better idea I'm all ears!

Assuming no one wants to have a Recognition with their own character, we only got two possible groupings: FarSight, Juniper, Nightbird, Sunset OR Reefshadow, Juniper, Tambri and SL2657F. Perhaps throw a coin to determine which of the two it'll be and then do the numbers for the picked 4 to determine the pairing?

Oh yeah, we're definitely avoiding characters with the same player Recognizing each other, unless a player themself requests that! I was thinking we'd have all the in-pool characters pick a number from a randomized list and then do a match-up with the available matches for the "winner".

For example: If Sunset "wins" this first draw, we'd do another random number generator thing, but only between Juniper and FarSight (would have suggested flipping a coin here, but Juniper recently Recognized and thus is less likely to do it again soon). If instead it was FarSight who "won" the first number list, we'd do a coin flip between him Recognizing Sunset or Nightbird.

Buuut that might be unnecessarily complicated XD I'm for whatever method people think will work best and easiest
