Choice struggled into a sitting position. His ribs burned like there were embers stuck between them, but he gritted his teeth and refused to let the pain show on his face. The one elf's sudden and utter grief had knocked him for a loop. Was her family gone? Had there been an accident?
::Dance, take Sneak outside,:: he sent to his bond, mostly to distract himself from all the questions mounting behind his confusion. ::The other elves will take care of me.::
::Other elves, hunt, hurt,:: came the answer, more in images and emotions than words, as was common for bonds.
::Different elves,:: Choice tried to explain. ::New elves. No long legs, no humans. New territory.:: At least it felt like new territory. He'd never seen a cavern as big as this, nor so cold, and the large ball embedded in the wall was something he'd never seen the likes of.
But how had he gotten here?
Choice shook his head. This wasn't time for questions. Not yet. He should allow himself to soak in the knowledge that there were elves here who didn't know him and apparenty didn't know of because he hadn't been told to leave yet. Maybe they just hadn't seen his face clearly enough. But they looked like no elves he'd ever seen before; paler, taller, some with smaller ears than others. And the healer! She looked like one of the first borns, although there was no blood of maned wolves in her that was for sure.
Fascinated and dazed, Choice couldn't help but smile at the gathered elves, despite the grief struck crying of one of them. "I'm Choice," he said to no one in particular, to see what his name would provoke. It wouldn't do to get too comfortable, in case they happened to know of him after all.
Dance and Sneak hesitated for a moment, but with one more glance at the nearest huge creature they took Choice's advice and left toward the feelling of moving air. The exit wasn't hard to find for someone with a keen nose.

"Jas, Jas-!" Edgerunner meant to reach for her, as she stepped backwards away from him. He wanted to hold her hand, calm her down and get her to postpone whatever horrible realization she had just made. If she broke down now, he might realize something awful too, but right now his mind could only hold so much horror, and that space was occupied by the feeling of a broken arm. Then the healer was in front of him, blocking his view with her body and asking questions about whether he was the hurt one. *Of course I'm the hurt one, you idiot!* He thought, but had self-control not to say it out loud. It didn't really seem like the time to get angry. Edgerunner tried to keep Jaseio in focus, but the new sensation of healing working its magic inside of him - which told him the healer's question had been unnecessary as she could probably feel a hurt elf within a mile's radius - made it hard to do so. He groaned in a mix of fading pain and growing comfort, feeling a bit dizzy at the sensation of his bone being reassembled.

~**It’s better if they panic, than being disillusions. If you sail in the shadow of a storm, you can’t ignore him or it will catch you the moment your guard is off.**~ he answered. Killing someone for food was a thing the boy never considered, for on his home this was no option. He’d rather starve to death than hurting another elf, even if they were not from his kind. Rokuta stayed back when Panaetha came in, the cave was crowded enough with these…beast and currently he couldn’t help with anything. Moving the big creatures outside sounded as a good idea to him and Keleero offered right away to make an exit. That he was not very diplomatic was true, but the reason for this lay in his education and the way of his people. They were just like this: speaking open even if when it comes to unpleasant things. When the girl with the bicoloured hair started crying he felt really sorry for her and after a moment of hesitation he kneeled down beside her. He didn’t felt well so near to that big creatures, but gently stroke her back. Diplomatic or not, at least that he could do. “Sht…calm down. I understand how you must feel…we all do. This whole stuff happened to everyone here. C’mon, let’s move your…big friend out of here. It should like open places more likely, or?” he tried to soothe her with soft words. “I’m Rokuta” the boy said as an answer to the introduction from the elf with the strange wolves. “Come girl…some fresh air will do you good.” She was bigger than him, so he couldn’t pull her up and he wasn’t sure how her beast would react to that, so he continued to talk to the sobbing girl – Jas if that was here name – calmly.

She hadn't heard Edgerunner's calls, she had already been gone by then. But when the male with auburn hair talked to her, she had gotten over the worst of it, but she still didn't have it in her mind to answer him. His send was what got her to react, and she looked up at him, and gave a slight nod. When the petite blond boy was stroking her back she turned to him, tears still trickling down but slower. She dried away her tears with the fur covered ends of her sleeves. She stood up shakily, leaning a bit on Rjúkandi. ::Good, calm... Go?:: The blue dun gave his rider a gentle nudge with his muzzle when he sent to her. She patted his shoulder with one hand, and answered the others "Yes... Fresh air... My name... My name is Jaseio." She was still sniffling a bit but she had understood that she would have to lead her best friend out of the cave for now. "H-how do I get him out..?" She asked carefully.

Panaetha could hear the female stranger behind her panicking, in addition to the awkward introductions and attempts at comfort around her. But she didn't truly hear it; the words flowed into her ears, but didn't register. She was too focused on knitting the arm muscles and bone back together.
She stopped short of fully healing him, her brow sweaty; he would heal just fine on his own, the break reduced to some bruising. She wanted to be sure he could use it normally, but she didn't want to exhaust herself in the process; though the conversations around her didn't sink in, she had noticed some painful movements out of the corner of her eye. Keleero had only sent about one injury.
"You should be fine now," she assured the stranger in front of her, and looked over at the female, who seemed lost and terrified. Panaetha wanted to comfort her...but it wouldn't have been appropriate, and would have derailed all her progress she'd made in NOT thinking about how much she missed the kits.
"It's quick," she started, pointing Jaseio to the exit. "A right, a couple steps, and then a left...should be easy when you see the light." She looked between the exit and the swaybacks...they were surprisingly calm. Maybe they could stay, for now...she wasn't sure if they would fit through the entrance anyway. She turned away from the exit with a shudder. Her fear of small spaces was getting stronger, and the exit simply taunted her with the promise of open skies.
She turned instead to the smaller male who'd been with the strange wolves, and knelt next to him. "My name is Panaetha," she murmured. She looked him over and cocked her head slightly, her pupils dilated so large that her eyes seemed black instead of golden. "You are still sitting...you didn't follow your wolves out, and you wince as you move. Would you let me heal you?"

"W-would you?" Choice asked, as paralyzed by the stranger's kindness as her strange cat like appearance. Like one of the first True Born.'
He drew in a wheezing breath, stealing himself for whatever would come next. He couldn't let himself believe in luck now, not with so much at stake. "It's my ribs I think. My name... My name is Choice."
Better to tell the truth now until someone who knew his face came by. Or someone asked him to send his name. That was, of course, if this was his tribe - they were all so strange looking, tall as High Ones almost all of them and possessing great magic - but you could never be too careful.

"That way out may be a bit narrow for you and your...companion," Keleero hurried to say to Jaseio as soon as Panaetha had turned to the other injured stranger. "It's large enough for an elf, but I don't think your horse would feel comfortable bending like it'd have to in this tunnel. I'll just shape you a new hole, it won't take but a heartbeat!" That was an exaggeration of course, but anything to keep the elf and her horse calm. Especially the horse. Keleero hadn't personally been attacked by one, but he'd seen plenty of wounds inflicted by them. Being trampled was not something he wished to experiense, healer or no. "I'm Keleero, and that one over there is Rokuta," he said to Jaseio as he began to shape the wall open. "We've ended up here much like you I'm afraid; just woke up in this cavern a few days ago. I'm afraid we can't be of much help telling you exactly where you are, but there is shelter here for you until you've recovered. I think we'll have to decide what to do, all of us, sooner or later, but for now it's seemed wises to stay put. It's rather cold outside I'm afraid." Keleero hated to babble, but he couldn't stop himself. Knowing there were two trapped horses in there with him wasn't exactly soothing for the mind. He at least managed to avoid mentioning the nearby humans. The poor newcomers didn't deserve to have that heaped upon them as well. The rock wall thankfully parted fairly easily for him; this part of the mountain was getting used to his magic. Soon there was starlight and snow to be seen. "There you go," Keleero said, stepping aside so quickly his feet didn't touch the floor. The world outside looked even less inviting to him by night. "Rokuta, maybe you could follow them out? You know better than I what's out there." OOC: Anyone going outside should jump to this thread

Four days, and Sunset had taken to sleeping with the lynx and her bond-mate - the kitten would scarcely allow her to do otherwise. Besides, having someone her size that understood cats was a comfort. The strange sends woke her from a nap, and she shuddered, pulling the still-sleeping ball of dappled fur against her chest. Quite suddenly, she sat up, blinking sleep out of her eyes as she realized what was going on. She reached out for Oddspot and No-Sting, struggling to wake up. ~**No-Sting? Swift-Wind? Keleero? What's going on?**~
Slowly her mind caught up with the sends, and besides, the cheetah cub was wriggling in her lap impatiently; it was obvious that he wanted to explore the new smells. He chirped at her in frustration when she refused to let him down. Standing, she padded out of her small den, padding barefoot down the hallway that she knew all too well, now. Her nostrils flared, smelling the strange beasts.

With wounds almost healed, the healer gone to her next patient and an impatient horse at his back, Edgerunner got to his feet. Still dizzy from the magic, he supported his weight on Asi, who had risen from the floor as well. His rational sense knew well enough that the elves were doing the right thing, helping the wounded as a first priority and getting all animals escorted out of the small cave, but his mind kept circulating on the fact that no-one had yet taken the time to tell them where they were.
"Jaseio!" he hurried to call, when he saw her near what he thought would be the way out of this enclosed place. "Wait!" Slower than he would admit, he walked towards her. It wasn't like he was afraid of darkness, but he wouldn't risk stumbling over a stone and get more hurt.
*My parents would be proud if they could see me now - being cautious for once in my life!* he thought as he made his way over to Jaseio. He placed a hand on her shoulder. "I'll go with you."

The rock gave way to Keleero's magic bit by bit, but the sending from Sunset and the sound of the second horse getting to its feet - hooves against stone echoed well - broke his concentration.
Shaking his head, Keleero paused in his shaping and sent back to Sunset: ~**We're in the room we all arrived in. There's...more elves here, with horses and there were strange long legged foxes here as well, but they went outside. It's safe enough here, if you want to join us. Rokuta is still in the tunnel leading here, so don't be surprised when you see a shadow at the tunnel exit.**~
Keleero finished the tunnel leading outside and turned to the new elves. "Please go outside quickly. There are more elves out there so it's safe." Enough he added mentally. "We'll explain all we know once everyone is healed and there's no risk for more injuries."
Stars glittered in the sky that could be glimpsed at the end of the tunnel Keleero had made. A cold wind blew inside, bringing with it the scent of snow.

Amazed Jaseio watched as Keleero shaped the tunnel for the horses. She had never seen rock be manipulated by an elf, it seemed so unreal. It wasn't completely foreign to her, since the caves of her herd had also long ago been shaped by magic, she just hadn't seen it with her own eyes. Shaken by all that had happen in so short an amount of time, she was startled by Edgerunner's call. She waited for him, while she took Rjúkandi's reigns in her hand. "Thank you," she said to Keleero after he had finished his work, and gave him a tired, barely visible smile, it was all she could muster for the time being. "Do you need help, Edgerunner?" She looked at her tribemate, and if he needed support she would gladly offer it to him, but in any case she moved to the tunnel, leading Rjúkandi behind her. OOC: If there isn't anything in coming post's that will require Jaseio's attention I will take her to Making a shelter, but I will wait to see if there will be anything before she leaves completely

Panaetha smiled gently at the way Choice looked at her. She wondered what was going through his mind...through everyone's minds! The past few nights she'd learned enough to know that everyone came from a different place...some maybe even from different stars?
She pulled her head out of the clouds and started to heal the newcomer instead. Her duty and her curiosity both helped ease her fears of the cave closing in on her, but she wouldn't be able to stay inside much longer. As the cat-glider "explored" Choice's ribs with her magic, she determined there wasn't too much damage, despite the pain. She smoothed over the fractures in his bones, made sure everything was in place and not bleeding, then pulled away.
"You'll be sore for a few days," she smiled sympathetically, "but you'll be okay. Feel free to come to me if something changes." She stood then, towering over him, and stretched her hand out to help the newcomer stand. "I'd be happy to show you around...I'm sure you must be looking for answers."

It doesn’t take long till there was an entrance big enough for the horses, but the boy waited in the tunnel to avoid more crowding. “Sure” He answered to the request from Keleero with a slight nod and followed the two newcomers and their animals immediately. The only thing he did befor he stepped in the new tunnel, was to check if he had his Manriki with him. Of course he had, you never know what will happen and if he would be trapped in a dangerous situation out of sending reach, he really doesn’t want to be without a weapon. Shielding was useful, but it was nearly impossible to move inside it. “So, how is the world you come from?” was his try to start a conversation and make the two more comfortable. And to distract himself from the fact, that it was cold and dark outside – things he himself was not particularly a friend of. But yet he wouldn’t had refused to go outside and if it gets to cold he could go back inside any time.

No reaction. His name had gotten no reaction from the cat-elf. Choice was too stunned to do more than stare at Panaetha as she spoke to him again. "Sore?" he echoed her once his brain had caught up with his reality. "That's... that's fine," he said. He had to look like he'd been hit over the head. "And I'd love you to show me this place. Is it always this cold?" He was rather chilled, despite the warmth of the recent healing. There had been a rare few nights in his life that he'd had to face anything approaching such temperature, and he wasn't really dressed for it. But there were elves here. The cold didn't matter that much. OOC: I think everyone going outside can jump to the outside thread now. Don't worry if you're mid-conversation, just have your elf answer the conversation in the other thread - there's no time difference between them

Sunset nodded, although it was more to herself, as no one there could see her. Grabbing a fur - she still wasn't sure what it was from, she could never remember the names of the strange beasts they'd encountered in what they were calling 'forest' - she made her way towards the sound of people. She almost jumped at the shadow that was Rokuta, but nodded in passing as a greeting. She saw the elf Choice first, and quietly making sure her presence was noticed, moved forward and offered the fur shyly.
