Crispin was about to offer some ease for FarSights own bruise when Tambri came in, adding another bond to the room. Was getting a bit crowded in here with all off them and she hoped it'd stay peaceful – not just for the bonds but the elves relationships too, nothing quite as hurtful as 'your bond hurt mine'. It was a fragile commune, this place. At least Tuft was friendly to everyone, would go with anyone if prompted as long as she felt like it. **Tuft – my bond – will not attack either. Just learn how to behave around cubs, but at worst she'll threat them like tiny cats.** No worries here. **Sit down, FarSight. Rest your weary bones. We'll all watch out over each others safety.** she indicated the free room around the fire, Milo already sitting there.

The snowstorm was a hassle. Flint had lived through plenty of storms in his life, but the ones in his world usually had less snow, preceeded themselves with heavy air, nature preparing in ways nothing here would. Like the hunters he'd been out, albeit taking his own way, leaving hours after them just to discover on his own, bring back whatever looked useful and figure out the details later. Now he'd turned back, worried about he others safety. How often hadn't Sapling shivered in long nights – what if the fires in the cave went out? He didn't trust the warm water, knew that his magic could make a difference in sharing warmth. So he came back. Of course the snow hadn't stuck to his clothes, melting, leaving him soaked through, taking in the room. „Are the hunters back yet?“ Didn't looked like it, but he asked just to make sure.
(OOC: Bringing Flint in here so the blizzard plot gets started more! He'll leave soon again to search for anyone missing, with whoever wants to tag along)

Collecting Oddspot took less effort than Choice had thought. He saw no sign of Keleero in the Sleeping Chamber, but that was little surprise; likely he had gone deeper in to keep shaping that personal chamber he'd been talking about. Returning to the Beacon Room, Choice came in just in time to catch Flint's question.
"Ah, welcome back!" he said. "Sadly, there hasn't been word from the hunters yet. I think they might seek shelter, with how the winds are howling out there. They've gone far from the holt, last I heard from them." With that pointed out, Choice began to think back on when he'd last heard from the hunting party. "Hmm, maybe we should reach out to them? See that everything is going well for them?"
He edged closer to Crispin, Oddspot following along behind him with Sunset's kitten in her mouth. "This is the cat. As you can see, she's rather keen on cubs she hasn't birthed herself already." He glanced over at FarSight, directing his next question to both him and Crispin: "Do you think she'd work to help the wolf cubs?"
OOC: Work is killing me again. Will try to post in the other threads before the week is out!

Tambri stepped aside as Choice returned. She didn't want to get in the way as they dealt with the cubs. Instead she glanced at the sled, looking over it. She noticed the damaged runner and inclined her head. She couldn't shape bone, but she could shape trees... He seemed eager to get the sled repaired. **Would wood work to replace the broken part on the sled? I could see if I can shape something from one of the trees outside...** She knelt, running her fingers along the break. If not to replace it, she could definitely brace it. Though she'd have to brace the other one, too, to keep it even so that it wouldn't pull to one side. She'd seen wagons before, and the wheels had to be kept even. Even if it was a human invention, it had its uses. She wondered where FarSight's people came up with the sled.

FarSight laughed at Tambri's question. "Two. Only the two. And they'll get much, much bigger if things work out with the cat." He glanced over to Crispin and sighed. He allowed the harness to come off again, letting Spook investigate the cubs, though he was watching very closely. The white wolf eventually sat down, unsure what to do with the wriggling white fluffballs in front of him. He nodded again to Crispin and rotated his shoulder, the bruise darkening angrily. He had hit the wall rather hard. At least nothing was broken. Frostbite lifted his head and looked at Spook, growling softly. Well, softly for a wolf his size was still fairly loud. It wasn't a challenging growl, but there was definitely a warning within the tone. Spook looked at Frostbite and flattened his ears a bit, but instead of fighting the much, much larger wolf, he got up and moved towards Tambri.
"A tree? We use wood on some of our other sleds. Bone doesn't grow like trees, and for our boneshaper to shape it, he only shapes from fresh kills... Otherwise it doesn't work, he said. I don't know... You're a shaper. Maybe you know why it wouldn't work." He glanced to Frostbite, pinging the wolf to tell him to stop growling. He looked over as Choice and Flint came in.
"You have hunters missing?" He glanced at his sled, about to stand up when he remembered the runner was broken. "Maybe... Maybe if you can shape something to fix it. If the storm is as bad as the one I passed through... We might need the sled."
Tambri nodded and turned to return to her room. A few moments later she returned, wearing her heavy winter clothes, Spook at her side. There was a brief detour at the sled where Tambri measured the unbroken runner with her arm before they both disappeared outside. The open send that followed confirmed the suspicion. **The storm is getting much worse... It's hard to see. I can't see more than an arm's length in front of my face. Spook and I will be back soon. We aren't going far.**
FarSight glanced around at the others, unsure if he should be worried or not. Storms like that were common on the tundra. Here? He didn't know. "Is... Are storms this bad normally around here?"
OOC: Tambri is obviously used with permission. Also, I kind of took some liberties to try and move along the thread towards the ultimate plan, if it's still a rescue/search for the hunters.

That none of them had returned yet left him worried – for Mahrak mostly, as he liked talking to the redhead. But of course the others too. No one should be left behind. This, now, was more important than the newcome, a short “I'm Flint” all of introduction from his side. But then he could come off as blunt, with his odd manners. Alone he'd venture out right away, didn't now since this was a bigger group than him and Sapling, others needed to be asked. Maybe that sled could help, though Flint had never seen one before. He couldn't carry everyone back who couldn't walk anymore. So for the moment he stayed near the entrance, sorting through his backpack – taking things out he'd collected and putting them into the store for now, putting some others in that could be needed. Dry wood. Furs. Bits of durable food. “Don't know if it's safe for you to come. I'll not freeze.” Just to get the point across he lighted a flame in his palm. “Can't have the fire going out here.” For all Keleero worked his magic on the walls, fire was more tangible to him than water.

Milo listened to the conversations around, keeping quiet and out of way. There was nothing he could do to help anyone here. Well, not much. “This feels like a bad storm.” He'd told Choice, not that his odd pangs were any sort of reliable prediction. “I can keep the fire going. Make some soup and tea, for anyone needing warming up?” Not much, but as long as he couldn't sleep anyway, might as well not sit around useless.

Crispin laughed, soundless, at Oddspot already bringing a kitten along. **Oh this'll work splendid!** she replied. It'd take some work, but she could do this. **Maybe not for the full normal time if they need as much as their size indicates, but we can get them through to solid food.** They'd sort it out between all the bonds around. First though, their elf companions needed help too. **I will hardly be of help out in this weather. But I'll be here for anyone who needs healing after. Wake me, if you have to.** she told the others, before turning to just FarSight. ~**If you want to head out with the others, will you let me look at your shoulder first? I can help.**~ Better than risking long-term damage or ending in a situation he'd need it functioning.

FarSight turned to Milo. "Do you think you can watch the cubs, too? You don't have to wear the harness if you don't want to. Honestly, they were only in it so they'd be kept warm and safe while we traveled." He glanced to Crispin and nodded. "I think it's just bruised. I can move it alright, but... Just in case there's trouble, I'd rather not be possibly injured and unable to help." He glanced over at the feline and the kitten that was following along and grinned. "No, probably not for as long as they need... But we'll figure it out... Might have to mash up some food so it's a liquid until they can actually chew something. I don't know. We can solve that problem when we get to it."
He waited quietly as Crispin looked over his shoulder. Fortunately it wasn't broken, only jammed and bruised. It may not have been hurting now, but it would have started to hurt a lot more before too long. "If she can repair the sled like she thinks she can, then we can take the sled and Frostbite. Cover more ground more quickly... Just put the supplies I brought, save a few furs for warmth, off to the side somewhere. Two or three elves can easily ride on the sled before Frostbite even notices the weight. We've hauled Spikehorns back from hunts and they're even bigger than white bears." Of course, he didn't know that they likely had never seen either of those beasts. "Even slap fins, but those will take a few sleds to haul all of their meat back."

Oddspot had taken, what she thought of as, her rightful place, surrounded by kittens. Some of the kittens were odd, yes, but she didn't mind much. They were smaller than her and they were fuzzy, that's what kittens were meant to be. Choice reached out and patted one of Milo 's hands in affection and comfort. "It's good most of our hunters are used to snow and cold. I'm sure they'll find shelter, should they need it." Judging by Milo's assessment, that'd be likely. "Such an impressive thing!" Choice couldn't help but exclaim as FarSight shared how the sled functioned. "We had no such things where I come from. Then again, we had no snow either." He chuckled a little at himself, nervous energy bubbling up inside him. Storms were bad, no matter if they were hot or cold. Not knowing how the hunters were doing was putting him on pins and needles. "Oh, is there going to be a healing?" Always eager to witness magic, Choice didn't know if he should avert his eyes in this case. Healing seemed far more intimate than treeshaping or firestarting. Another thought struck him. **Is anyone here a strong sender?** he shared with the whole group, seeing as Tambri had gone outside and wouldn't hear him speak. **I'm not sure I could reach any of the hunters without pushing and I'd hate to startled anyone if they're in the middle of a hunt. Maybe someone could reach out to the hunters? See if they need help?** Better than sitting and worrying about possibly nothing. If people were going to run off out into the storm, it'd be terrible if they did it for no reason. OOC: Oddspot is definitely open to interaction with the wolf cubs and is free for pretty much anyone to control in this thread, to ease roleplay. She's a pretty easy-going lynx, happy as long as no one tries to separate her from any small animals she's decided to mother and she'll definitely comply with whatever examination/magic Crispin might have planned for later.

Tambri glanced over her shoulder briefly at the send. She could send reasonably far, but she wouldn't call herself a far-sender. **I can try... it depends how far they went.**
She had just finished shaping the first of the two caps for the sled's runners. She began to work on the second one, choosing a second tree, so that the first didn't hold the strain of both shapings. It wouldn't be too much longer, but she was fairly certain this would work. She'd seen 'sleds' similar to this, though they were pulled by no-humps. And they had wheels, but she'd had to help fix a broken wheel this way, so it should work the same, right? Just need to put the same cap on both so that you don't have to worry about the sled going the wrong direction.

The young elf hadn't ever expected anyone to let him care for their bondbeasts, them way too precious to leave with a human, or so his reasoning. “Oh! I'd be honored to!” was his delighted reply, shy smile forming. “Though I fear the harness wouldn't fit me either way.” Small for a human, he still towered over most elves, almost twice FarSights height. Might be a benefit in this situation, for he could easily handle the pups. Something useful to do instead of just waiting.

While the others talked she bend down to take a look at the smaller elf's shoulder. Adapt healer as she was, this didn't need much of an examination, did she lay a hand on it for some moments, focusing on the warmth of healing, fixing what was wrong. **Not much to see here** she apologized to Choice. **Only speeding things up a bit, so our new friend here can safely go and help** She patted FarSights shoulder to confirm it was all good now, then replied to the request for a strong sender: **I've been sending all my life. I can try.** Between her people it was rare to reach so far, but long years of experience helped. She didn't wait for any encouragement, reaching out far as she could to everyone: **Anyone in need of help due to the storm?**

Usually he could be calm and patient, but here too many were talking, not taking action. Of course this was how groups worked, it just baffled him when things had gone so much smoother and faster between him and Sapling. “I'll go. Bring them back.” It didn't matter what the others though, he'd made that the decision the moment he heard Mahrak was still out there. The only reason he didn't run off right away was Tambri still working at the sled parts, that a better chance than being alone. As long as it wouldn't take much longer.

FarSight nodded at Crispin as she healed his shoulder. The stiffness faded away along with the beginning twinges of pain. He was glad there was a healer there, though he hoped no one needed her services any time soon. Looking over to Milo he smiled. "I'd appreciate if you would. It'd be good to have someone to keep an eye on them while we're out. Their eyes are only just starting to open so they're getting curious. Plus I think I might be the only one who can control the sled. Frostbite will listen to any elf, but I grew up riding sleds so I know how they move. I'd be happy to teach anyone, but... not when we have to worry about missing tribe members." He rose and moved over to glance at the sled's runner once more before he began to remove some of his supplies from the sled.
Without the bulk of his supplies, the sled was actually a rather low-lying, simple thing. There were cross-planks that protected the underside from snow and rocks that might be in the path, and the edges came up slightly, to keep things from rolling off. It was easy to see what he meant when he said that a few elves could easily fit on the sled. Four if they were sitting, two or three of one needed to lay down.
At that moment, Tambri came back in holding the two pieces of wood. Her fingers were red and angry from the gold, her mittens dangling from her wrists. **These should fit... Can you lift the slid on this side so I can try it on the one that isn't broken first?**
FarSight nodded and moved to the sled. With a grunt, he lifted one side and rolled the sled until it was on its side. Together, he and Tambri fitted the shaped cap onto the runner. It definitely wouldn't be a permanent fix, but it would work. Once that was done, the two moved the sled onto its other side. Using some leather straps that normally held the supplies down, FarSight wrapped and tied the broken piece of the runner in place, only to have the cap placed over it. A little more shaping and it clamped down in place.
"Definitely not a permanent fix, but this should work for now... Thank you." FarSight, once the sled was righted again, began to line the bottom of the sled with two large white furred pelts. They were much larger than the wolf, and must have come from the white bear he'd mentioned earlier. On the back of the sled there was still another lump of leathers that looked like it could be a tent or something. It was shaped in a way that it looked like it could be pulled over the sled as a cover. "Then... I suppose let's get this outside and get Frostbite harnessed again. Any response to the send?" FarSight began to pull his coat and winter gear back on, including the face mask he had been wearing when he appeared, though not quite covering his face yet.
Hearing his name, Frostbite yawned then rose to his paws and moved over to the sled again. He knew what was going to happen, and the slight wag to his tail suggested that he didn't mind the idea of going for another run at all.
OOC: Tambri moved with permission... because... mine.
