Mahrak greatly apprecited the gentle barb sent his way by No-Sting. The trade of teasing comments and needling criticism had been the way of him and his friends back in the Far White, and it felt good to have at least the spirit of that here in his new home.
"I'm glad you asked!" he said to Silvergill and also smiled at Crispin, pretending to ignore No-Sting. "We have plenty of interesting beast-bonds on offer here. Let me see." He leaned back against Longsleep, affecting an exaggerated thoughtful frown. "Firstly, we have plenty of wolf-bonded elves about: Badger , Juniper , Greywing and Mindlight ." For each name he mentioned he shared an open sending, showing what each elf looked like.
"There are all manner of other cat-bloods, though I've yet to see anyone bonded with a tiger, like I am. I think Panaetha mentioned she'd seen tigers before, though she herself shares blood with...panthers I think was the word she used." He openly sent a shared image of what Panaetha had shown a panther looked like, though it came away blurry as he couldn't fully recall it. "She and another elf, Spotfur I believe she's called right now, look almost more like cats than elves. Isn't that wonderful?!" He shared what they looked like as well, all enthusiasm. "Along with her we have No-Sting here and her sister Swift-Wind, but also Sunset , who bond with other kinds of cats." Here he gave a respectful nod towards Crispin and her cat.
"Then there's Choice, who has these strange fox-like creatures, though he's only bonded to one of them." He had no idea if the newcomers had seen foxes before, but hopefully the sendings he kept sharing of what everyone and their bonds looked like helped avoid any confusion. "There are also those who I think don't bond, or at least don't share blood with anything but other elves. Like Keleero." He rolled his eyes as he spoke the name and shared the image of the elf in question, to show exactly how silly he thought said elf was. Such a worrywart! "Though you won't be able to tell just by looking at them. This wonderful place has elves as colorful as Reefshadow and Swish , to those more muted like Eryk and Sefu ." Some both in manners and looks. He'd not spoken much with Sefu, but the elf seemed terribly shy and on edge, like someone expecting an avalanche but too well-raised to panic openly about it.
"Flint is somewhere in-between muted and colorful. He's got quite the impressive face tattoo!" Not that it was his place to share why Flint had that tattoo. "I haven't been able to figure out if Edgerunner and Jaseio share blood with their horses or not, so I'm not sure where to count them. But I think that's everyone in holt, for now, except from Milo here." He turned to gesture at Milo, who No-Sting already had greeted. "We'll see what things are like tomorrow. You never know who might show up here!"
