Musen has suggested that a preserver hid in Swish's hair and thus traveled with him through the Beacon. Is this something people think would be a benefit for the Holt or not?
Anyone is free to claim this preserver as a player-character, otherwise we could have it as an NPC that anyone can move around.
Having some wrapstuff around could be helpful, both for perserving food, making clothes and saving severly injured tribemates should there be any such injuries. So I'm for it, though more leaning towards having it be an NPC than wanting to play it myself.
Thoughts?

My answer is basically 'yes' in disguise of 'other'. I mean, a Preserver might be handy, but personally I am always annoyed as ...ck about the little bastards, so I would only like one as a NPC, and not as a played character. Also, I think Preservers do not have THAT much of soul life and motives and drive to become a fully playable characters.

Have to agree that having a preserver as a player character could be very tiering for the player - I haven't seen that done well yet. Just posted the option in case someone really wanted to play a preserver. So maybe what we could do is establish appearance, personality and history as well as name together as a group? Then the preserver can enter the game with Swish, appearing out of his hair, and anyone can feel free to write for the preserver, or just react to it Does that sound okay or are there other opinions?

I'm totally down with a Preserver NPC. We just have to make sure it's not in two places at once, if we can all post with it.

Yup, watching out that no one else is using the preserver would be a good thing. Maybe we should have a "Preserver Timeline" so that we can post when we use the preserver in a thread and at what date that thread is taking place (so the preserver doesn't show up in two different threads with the same date)?

I think the idea with the preserver as an NPC could work, and yeah, it would probably be necessary to have something like that so we don't create some sort of time travelling little monster, or something ;p

If the Preserver comes from a warmer climate, I suggest an upside down Hibiscus flower as some kind of a hat. I suppose it withers and dies if it is an actual flower, but I dunno...? Some Preservers seem to have actual, tiny hats? It could also be a flower-shaped hat. OR, if it comes from the seaside, then some sort of a seashell?
For the colours, I don't really care. Probably something turquoise?

Ooh, that would be lovely, a pink hibiscus hat and a turquoise body?

Yeah, that preserver would not be very stealthy around here - but I think that's great! Makes for some low-stakes conflict Also, if the preserver's hat goes bad, it being a flower and all, it could get a 'mini-plot' where it wants to find new headgear in this cold winterland. Would make it easier to get it into the game and interacting with elves, other than the standard "make wrapstuff/protect-Highthings" plots.

Awwwww. Tiny squeak thing has no hat. Sorry, the preservers are seriously one of the cutest frickin' things i've ever seen. I'm down.

Okay, so this is what we've got so far about our preserver:- NPC (with a check-in thread to make sure it's not in 2 places at once)
- wilted pink hibiscus flower as hat (will go looking for a new one)
- body color is turquoise
What we still need to figure out:- Eye color (I suggest pink)
- Wing color (I suggest black and pink)
- Personality (I suggest that it's a bit of a vain preserver, very invested in finding the best and shiniest headgear)
- Name (no ideas right now)
Once we've got that settled we're ready to enter our little wrapstuff maker into the game!

I suggest Shinedrop for a name. Maybe the vain little creature loves shiny things. EDITTO// No, wait, maybe Shinefind or Shinepick is better, considering it might rather pick up and gather shiny objects and baubles, rather than drop them.
