Hi everyone! It seems the November-December period has been and will be busy for most of us. Just wanted to pop in and say that's not a problem at all  Beacon Call has no participation demands exactly for this reason! Don't stress about posting here, do all the offline things you need done first and foremost! I'll try to use this mini-hiatus to update the info sections and take stock of what might need to be established for the game to flow more smoothly. Please let me know if there's anything in particular you're interested in seeing updated! Also, anytime you update something somewhere on the forum that you feel others need to know about (like updating your CIS, even a little), please post here in this thread and link to the thread(s) you've made the change in or addition to! Like this:- I've updated the Magic information thread, with information from this discussion thread. - There's a list of available roles here which everyone should comment on |

- A new sub-folder in the Game section of the forum called The Past has been added. This is for any threads you'd like to create that happens before your elf/elves came to Beacon Call. I know very few have other players with elves from the same Holt - but I'm about to create an "NPC" account here for any Non-Player Characters I might need to play in the future, so I'd be up for playing other people's old tribe mates! And I'm sure other players would be up to that as well
- I've put a lot of old threads in the "Archive" and "Old posts" sections of the forum. So don't worry, they weren't deleted just moved.
- Update to the discussion about the local trolls, please check it out!
- The Tribe Info sheet has also been updated - you will get individual PMs about what info is missing from your elves' tribes, just so you know
- Elf info has been updated, with bond-friend and reproduction info (i.e. how Recognition and such things work).
- When it comes to magic, I've decided that anything goes in this Holt, as long as you don't over-power your elf. Shapechanging and such magic are after all not something that makes your character invinsible - as long as you're not Timmain level powerful in magic that is. The number of how many of each type of magic user we can have, however, will be limited - I think the limit shall be 3 for each type of magic, except Sending, Animal-Bonding, Animal-Sending, and Gliding (for Gliders), Shapechanging between tail and legs (for Sea-Elves). Is everyone okay with this?

- Pyre is leaving - we hope she'll have fun with her other hobbies!
- By request of a member we now have a chat/shoutbox at the bottom of the forum page. It's open to all members for chatting.
- General updates regarding stats and CISs have been done.

- A sub-folder called Character Plots & Discussions has been added to the Game Discussion - this is so discussions about individual character won't get lost among the other game discussion threads

- I e-mailed Goldenbraid and Sonja a while back to see if they're still interested in playing in the Holt. Since they haven't answered yet I've listed their elves as having disappeared, at the same time as Slinker, Tinder, Nettle and Silverthorn went missing. If anyone of them wants to return with their elves to the Holt one day they're of course welcome to do so
- Eryk and Nightbird have been added to the "Get to know the tribe" info today!
- Stats have been updated today
- I've posted a new elf for myself in the Pending Elves section. Please check him out

I've added a separate Participation Needs?-thread to the "About this Holt" part of the forum, since I didn't think the rules and such were clear enough in regards to that. |

- Added a small "random info" option to all Tribe Info pages. This is just to add any info about your elf/elves' tribes' live that don't fit the other sub-headers.
- I've linked all CISs to their corresponding tribe info, and added all preserver names to their elves.
- Posted to suggestions for new threads, in case anyone is up for those

We're prepping for a big blizzard event in the holt, where one elf will die ( Edgerunner) and a lot of them will go missing. Also, as you probably have noticed, I'm playing around with the forum colors to make links more visible. Please let me know if the blue links work for you or if you'd rather have another color! |
