Tribe name Green River Tribe
Leadership: lead by a chief, passed down through hereditary means
Type of elves: pure-blooded
Soul Names: Every elf has a soul name which they are born with/given by their parents
Random Info: the only magic bloodlines present are tree-shapers and healers
Recognition: Recognition is revered and rare
Location: In this world, though well hidden and unknown to the elves of Beacon Holt. Their territory lies deep in a forested wetland. The ground floor is a mix of winding rivers, ponds and grass. The gardens are on the ground floor, usually on the banks of the rivers. The dwellings and most social activities take place in an interconnected group of trees shaped by tree-shapers, where they all live, sleep and eat together if they are not fishing or gardening, which are usually solitary activities or for groups of two or three. The trees are used as housing all year round, and especially during the flood season, when all Green River Elves are confined to the treetops lest they be swept away by rushing flood water.
Culture: They are a very small tribe, and very insular. If they were ever to encounter other elves of any type, they would be extremely wary. The tribe is not very focused on fighting skills, the most combat they’ve ever experienced is the occasional play-spar between members. Or if a dangerous predator has settled on their territory they are more likely to attempt to drive it out than to kill it. Their diet consists mostly of fish they catch and food they grow in their gardens. They only kill other animals if they are in desperate need of food or have a need for fur or bones that they can’t substitute. Many years ago, they were driven from their home by humans, they traveled for a long time and eventually settled in the swamp, since then they have encountered no other elf or human, thus both are legends and campfire stories to them. All of them have skill in swimming, fishing, gardening and tree climbing. They also trap small game. They are well adapted and very attached to their swamp.
Events: a new chief had been promoted just at the turn of the season, the weather was showing signs of being one of the worst winters they’d ever experienced, so everyone was stressed and busy stockpiling
Known members: Silvergill, Dewfall, Newtcatcher
