No-Sting gave a grunt in reply, still not too pleased with her own behavior. Suspecting a fellow elf of being dangerous?! Magic was one thing - and there were far too many magic users flaunting their skills in this place, though she'd never say that out loud - but elves in themselves couldn't mean one-another true harm, surely?
Such dark thoughts were pushed aside by Badger addressing her and...beaming. No-Sting only caught it out of the side of her eye, but taht was definitely a very friendly smile on Badger's lips.
"Oh," was all No-Sting could think to answer, eyes going wide, her attention clearly back on Badger again. "I...I enjoy spending time with you too." It was the plain truth. No-Sting also felt like a fool for putting it so plainly. She was all but stifling their talking with her inane answers!
"I-I should send to my sister," No-Sting stuttered, feeling heat rise to her cheeks. Her heart's beating had sped up quite a bit. "I think she was on her way back here. Wouldn't want her to get into trouble."
~**Swift-Wind, are you back yet? I think there is trouble in the Beacon Room.**~ No-Sting lock-sent to Swift-Wind, not known her warning came too late.

OoC: This awkward cuteness is too much for me to handle. >u<
~*~
Badger stifled a sigh, as she watched the dark-skinned maiden. Maybe No-Sting's mind was preoccupied -- wouldn't be a wonder -- but Badger felt like something was wrong. Maybe she had had her hopes too high, and No-Sting was just being polite with her plain and curt answers. Taking a note of the blush on the tuft-eared maiden's cheeks, the wolfrider felt her heart sink a little.
She'd never had a very important friend in her life, so Badger was not sure how to read the body language. It definitely reminded her of awkwardness than ensued, when she had not been wanted in company. "I should maybe soon return..." Badger suggested and glanced at the way she had come from.

OOC: Our elves are indeed adorable, poor things XD
IC: Fool! No-Sting thought as she saw Badger's body language change to that of hestiation. She wracked her brain for anything to say to break the awkward silence, but came up blank until Badger mentioned leaving.
"No!" No-Sting burst out, cheeks coloring even redder. "Eh, that is to say, you shouldn't leave if you don't want to, and-"
Swift-Wind answered No-Sting ~**You couldn't have told me a bit earlier? I think I'm caught in some kind of...I don't know. There's new people here. Not so friendly, one of them has a weapon and has been acting hostile. I don't know what to do. Keleero seems to have taken control of the situation.**~
The sending from Swift-Wind cut all No-Sting's words short. Horror crept up No-Sting's spine - elves might not kill other elves, but one could still get hurt facign down a scared stranger. And what if Swift-Wind got hurt and it affected her magic somehow? An irrational thought to say the least, since Swift-Wind had been injured before and no such thing had happened, but this was a strange place, with strange magic. Who knew what could happen so close to that Beacon-thing?!
"Swift-Wind is in the cave with the new stranger!" No-Sting said to Badger - well, almost shouted it. She knew her eyes had to be wide with worry and what color she'd felt flushing her cheeks had faded. "I-I must go there, make sure she isn't hurt." She wanted Badger with her, she realized, but didn't feel she could ask for such a thing. Especially not after she'd been behaving like a kit with its tongue stuck to ice in the last few moments.
To Swift-Wind she sent: ~**Wait there and be careful! I'm coming!**~

Badger had to admit it, the sudden burst of No-Sting kind of startled her. As much as she wanted to help the maiden calm down, the wolfrider did not offer a calming touch -- she felt she had no right to do it right now. "Don't worry..." Badger said, unaware of the private sending the tuft-ear had with her sister. "The new arrivals just need a little compassion and help. Things will be alright."
Well, at least Badger hoped so.
She nodded her head to the cave, and said, "Come on. We need to get this water to the wounded one. Maybe the other one is hurt, too, and therefore afraid." The wolfrider made a mental note to also grab some other supplies. The basic medic kit was really scarce, but the maiden hoped the wounded stranger would do with thin thread and needle and water.

No-Sting gave Badger a shaky nod, trying to get her racing heart under control. The awkwardness she felt she'd created between herself and Badger did nothing to sooth her worries about Swift-Wind. If anything, they helped egg on each other.
"Just tell me if you need help with carrying anything," she offered Badger, unsure of where to look or what to say.
OOC: Ready to jump thread?

Badger nodded to the request of helping to carry something, but at the moment there was no need. The water skin was tied on her belt and needle and thread, maybe some cleaning cloth and bandages would not be too much to work with anyway. Still, her hands were free, and in the dim tunnel, she kind of wanted to take No-Sting's hand. Almost, she did... But then pulled it back. ~*~ OoC: Ready! I will write Badger there next.

No-Sting followed closely behind Badger, her hackles raised. Hopefully Swift-Wind remained unharmed.
OOC: Great! Locking and archiving this, thank you for the thread!
