"Not in the slightest," Panaetha sighed, rubbing the bridge of her nose. She had to fight to keep her body from trembling; she always felt weakened after an intense healing, and she wished desperately for a hot soak. ~**I don't know if she has weapons, but her body has...odd features. I do not know how to describe them. They didn't seem to be harmful, so I ignored them, but I have certainly never felt anything like them. Something about her entire being seems...**~ she paused a moment and sighed. ~**I do not know. Strange. Not quite elfin. Then again, we have all come across elves unlike any we have seen before in recent times.**~ Her locked send included only Keleero and Jaseio; she hoped that the latter could say more about the newcomer's possessions. A cursory scan revealed them to be just as curious as her body.

OOC: Just a note she does have a combat knife in her boot, hilt would be visible, otherwise they may not recognize anything else as aweapon aside from the now holstered hand gun.

Eryk nodded when his question was answered -- although it did not shed much light to the situation at hand. The carpenter supposed the answers would come with time, when everything would be a little calmer.
One of the strangers noticed the carcass and asked if it was a bond beast. Eryk shook his head a little, while he was working on his own wounds. "I don't... No, it is not." he replied, "It's a wild snow cat, attacked me when I was riding my ... my elk." The carpenter was feeling maybe a little bitter he had ended up in this strange environment without his steed and with the dead beast instead.

OOC: Since the Holt has been slow for a while posting order is currently not in effect. Active players can post after only one reply until we know who's active and who's not I'll post in this thread and others tomorrow - need a bit of time to re-read threads and update the Timeline, so I don't forget anyone!

Sweeping his eyes over the cat-like newcomer, awaiting translation from Jaseio, Keleero noted that the newcomer had a dagger stuffed in her boot of all places. A very strange place to keep a weapon, unless you were planning to...no, this was not Steepside...but... Taking a step back Keleero threw a look in the direction of the other newcomer. Height mattered little as to how much of an 'elf' a newcomer was, at least from what Keleero had come to expect - but that one shared the language of the rest of them. The cat-like one spoke what sounded like human words. Keleero, always ready to pick a side, decided then and there to support Eryk if things came to blows. That big cat might have been the cat-elf's "bond"...

No-Sting, getting a weird feeling from the cat-like newcomer, reached out to Eryk, nodding at his answers. "That's good to hear. I'm sorry your elk got left behind. Would you like to get some fresh air when you're done with that? Or perhaps have a soak in the warm springs we have here? They're a sweet balm for sore muscles." She then nodded towards the dead snowcat. "We'll help you skin it while you rest. The fur is yours, of course."

"I could help with skinning.", Badger volunteered. She did not have anything else to do and it seemed like the situation was well in control. Just like many others, the wolfrider maiden did not understand the speech of the beast-like stranger. Badger wished Jaseio would understand it, at least roughly.
She nodded at No-Sting's suggestion of hot water. The grey-haired stranger would surely appreciate the hot bath, especially with his aches and bruises.

Eryk was almost done with his mending. "A proper bath could do.", he said at the tuft-eared maiden and her wolfrider companion. "I am not sure if I got my wounds cleaned well enough."
Of course, Eryk did not want to bleed in their pools, so he would have to wait a little. He felt exhausted and leaned on the wall, the edge of his vision a little hazy.
He nodded when the plump wolfrider maiden offered to help with the skinning.

SL2657F looked between the two elves, the healer and the other that spoke...similar words to the Emperor's language. <"Why? I do not have tactical information... I am not a commanding officer. What do you hope to gain by keeping me prisoner?"> Why hadn't she been killed? Surely once they realized she was missing they'd activate the poison. Right? She glanced around again at the others. They weren't dressed normally either. There were no tribal colors or any other indication of allegiance as was normally worn. <"What...is this place?">

Eyes on Eryk No-Sting pointed towards the tunnel that lead to the Sleeping Chamber. "If you wish to rest and tend to yourself we have a sleeping den that way. This part of the caves tends to be rather...busy." If more newcomers were on the way, as High Ones only knew how this 'beacon' worked, having them crash in on injured newcomers sounded like a bad possibility. "I can help you to your feet if you need the assistance." Behind them the other newcomer said more strange words No-Sting couldn't make sense of. She hoped Jaseio could make sense of it. Better focus o one newcomer at a time. The others can handle her.

OOC: Since I haven't heard from Musen yet, since she hasn't posted with Jaseio in this thread in a long while and since Musen is the only player with elves (other than SL2657F) who speak some sort of human language (that I can see from people's CISs) I'm afraid I'll do a bit of godmodding to keep the thread from freezing. Sorry Musen! I'm just assuming Jaseio continues attempting to translate what SL2657F is saying, not gonna have her do or say anything else. IC:Listening to Jaseio's shaky translation of what the cat-like newcomer said Keleero's frown deepened. Most of it seemed to make little sense to Jaseio, which meant it made even less sense to Keleero. But one question he could answer: "You are in Beacon Call Holt," he spoke to the newcomer, keeping his words slow and himself out of range of her. "We all just, come here. It's magic none of us can control." He sighed. "Jaseio, could you please try and tell her this in the...human tongue?" Then he lock-sent to Jaseio and Panaetha: ~**She has a dagger in her boot. A...curious place to keep a weapon.**~ Keleero was more than used to elves who carried blades in unusual places upon their person, and he made sure his sending signalled what sort of danger a person with such habits might pose.

OOC: Making an assumption here as well then for the sake of continuing.
SL2657F glanced to Jaseio as her words were translated, picking up one or two of the elven translation to her words, then glanced to Keleero when he spoke to her. She understood what he said. 'You are' was something that she knew. Basic things such as that. The rest she assumed, since it sounded like a name, was a name. She mouthed the words, an uncertain look on her feline features. Turning her gaze back to Jaseio as the words were translated it made sense. So the male was telling her where she was. Beacon Call Holt... That was an odd name for a military outpost... Unless this wasn't...
SL2657F's features turned more to confusion than before, her head taking on a tilt. She felt her strength starting to return as her body worked to heal itself. She could run and probably make it to the doorway before it was sealed again, but curiosity was taking hold. Things were starting to line up. Primitive weapons, colder temperatures, a sea elf - a child no less! - and the fact they didn't speak the Emperor's language... The poison. She held up a hand, shaking her head slightly.
<"No... Where... am I?"> She glanced between those gathered. She tried again, awkwardly. "Where... this... place?" She wasn't sure if those were the right words. <"Where in the Empire?"> Now how would she ask that in their tongue? "Where... is..." Shaking her head she corrected herself. "in... in." Empire... what is the word for Empire? "K..King...dom?" That was how the elves had always said it. Wasn't it? She couldn't remember, but it sounded right.
Things didn't make sense. She lowered her hand back to her lap, shifting slightly for comfort on the cold, hard floor of the room they were in. The other elf, the one with silvery hair, seemed to be injured as well, but wasn't healed like she was. Then there was another realization that hit her. They all looked at her like she was a strange being. SHe could see the confusion of her origin when they looked her way. Had they never seen a... Surely they'd seen one of the 'Mods' as they referred themselves, being created and not naturally born.
The collar around her neck beeped quietly as the transmitter in back updated her health status from the orange-yellow it had been to steady yellow.

~**Once we see he can work things out on his own, want to help with that carcass?**~, Badger lock-sent to No-Sting, touching her arm gently with a finger. She hoped the stranger could get himself mended and the beast-like stranger could be understood. Language barriers were something she had not ever met in her life -- even if sometimes there had been culture barriers... This place was one big cultural barrier to the wolfrider.

"I will just... catch my breath...", he said but got back up soon. He nodded his thanks to No-Sting, and began to move toward the direction he had told to. He looked at Keleero, hoping that the rockshaper would not try and prevent him from moving to the bed chambers or whatever the other caves were named. The commotion in this current room was getting on his nerves and he was tired and achy.

Doing his best not to fidget nervous, Keleero stared at SL2657F in deeper and deeper confusion. Even with Jaseio translating, not much of what the newcomer said made any sense. She did seem to wish to know their location, that much was clear, but what in the world did "Kingdom" mean? "I'm sorry, we have no idea where we are," Keleero chose to say, since that information would become obvious sooner rather than later to anyone who came here. "We were all taken by that." He gestured at the beacon, its glow now faded to reveal its amber-like crystal form. "None of us recognize the world outside these caves. I...I have no idea how far from your home you are, nor how far I am from mine." Glancing over at where No-Sting and Badger where helping the other newcomer, Keleero chose to move a little closer to Jaseio, to signal that he had no intention of interfering with them. His rockshaping previously had been more reflex than planned strategy and he didn't wish to seem a threat. Tension was high enough as things stood already.
