As Swish shared about the tropical homeplace, the very idea of large, unknown trees was almost arousing Juniper's imagination. Oh, how thrilling it would be! To merge his magic with such a majestic plant -- it was almost an understatement to call it just a 'plant' like it was just any kind of whistling grass. Juniper sighed a little, then took his hands off of the young, slender tree. He wore his mittens again and made a mental note to ask Swish some more of his home -- well, to the extent that seemed tolerable for the cub.
The treeshaper then noticed the paled face of Choice. He realized that the loss in the dark-skinned lad's mind was still extremely fresh and rare to touch. Juniper did not always care for his tribemates more than the forest around them, but a twinge of compassion made him locksend to Choice: ~**How are you faring?**~ It was obviously a silly question, but he wanted to know if Choice would share any of his pain with him. He was about to ask more, but then noticed the sending from Sunset's direction -- he barely dodged the snowball with his elbow raised to protect the side of his head.
"Oof!" he gasped out, as the ball smashed on him and the snow scattered partially in air and partially on his skin.

OOC: Geh! >.< I had completely forgotten it! Thanks for the reminder! xD
Swish gave Sunset a huge smile when she placed the furball on his head and he held Chirp there for a moment until he let the cub crawl into his hood accompanied by a giggle from the pip. He couldn’t stifle the laughter that escaped him when Juniper was hit by the first ball of snow and didn’t spot the next one directed at himself.
“Ompfh.” The snowball had hit him square in the face and some of the snow that scattered had landed in his mouth. The sensation of cold in his mouth was foreign, but he ignored it in favor of wiping away the remaining snow from his face.
He smiled playful as he squatted down to gather some snow in his hands, squishing it together while standing up. He wondered for a short moment who to throw the snowball at and decided on payback. He threw it as best as he could in the general direction of Sunset and Choice, hoping for it to hit it’s target, Sunset, but throwing wasn’t the pips strong suit.

The sending from Juniper was unexpected. Choice hadn't talked much with him since his arrival in this place. He seemed to prefer keeping to himself. Thus the sent question left Choice blinking and stuttering, unsure of what to say. Sending his inner turmoil to someone else was both something he wished he could do and something he wanted to avoid at all costs. He didn't want to be a burden.
Therefore, when Sunset threw the snowballs, all Choice could do was squeak in surprise. Especially as the snowball Swish had aimed at Sunset hit him square in the chest.
"What are you doing?!" he found himself asking out loud, utterly confused, though not angry. The question wasn't specifically aimed at anyone. The cub games of Choice's youth were so far away from him that, combined with his overwhelming grief, this snowball fight left him utterly baffled.

"It's called a snow fight!" Juniper explained. He had used to get many snow washes in snow fights, when he'd been a cub. As much as the snow fight was, Sunset had to go and take Chirp back inside, as the feline was not used to these environmental conditions. Juniper understood it -- it seemed like he was the only one used to snow. "Snow fight is a playful fight for cubs -- or adults." he then said, "It's for fun's sake!" Although, now they had uneven number... And it seemed like Choice was not a huge fan of snow fights.

"A fight! A fight!" Swish repeated after Juniper. As the pip chrouched down to gather some more snow the cub in his hood crawled out over his shoulder and jumped down unto the snow were Sunset picked it up.
When she had left to take Chirp back to the warmth and Swish had formed two new snowballs he straightened up and looked to Choice with a bright, energetic smile, "Having fun is the best!" His smile turned mischievous and he made to hand over one of the snowballs to Choice, "Just try it!" He then threw his own to the best of his abilities towards Juniper and ran to hide behind a nearby tree with a giggle.
The fun of the game would help him forget all the things that he missed; the warmth, the colour and the familiarity of the laguna and the elves that called it home.

Choice eyed the ball of snow Swish had given him with a light of wonder in his eyes. He'd become rather familiar with the texture of snow since his arrival here - how cold it was, and how it turned to water when it got too warm - but he'd never thought to shape the stuff! Was this what being a magic user felt like? Forming things around you according to your own will?
The word 'fight' put Choice a little on edge at first, but hearing Juniper's calm explanation and Swish's enthusiasm, he couldn't help but smile. "So I just throw it, then?" he asked no one in particular, before throwing the ball in Swish's general direction. He had no intention of actually hitting Swish, but leaving the cub out of the game would be mean.
"Did you have these 'fights' often, back where you're from?" he asked Juniper as he bent down to grab more snow. Making balls out of it proved easier than he'd thought. "And do bonds play? Dance and Sneak aren't too fond of the cold, but if they get to run around in it they might learn to enjoy the snow."

"Basically, yes..." Juniper said with a shrug, when Choice asked about throwing it. "It's a cubs' game, but it sure wears out any energetic cub. It's--" His explanation got cut off, when Swish's toss hit him right in the stomach. With a lot of flair, he grunted and slowly fell to the snow. "I got hit!" he yelled, reaching for the sky.
"Avenge me, Choice!" he requested, as if he was really dying. Of course, the treeshaper could not lay low in the snow for too long -- otherwise they would have had to carry his frozen body to the cave. So, slowly he got up. "If the snow was a little more wet, we could build fortresses and walls and small snowcaves." he told.

He made a sound of victory and a little jump when Juniper was felled. Swish made to gather another snowball, but was badly position in relation to Choice and so promptly received a snowball to the side. “Oof! No fair! Two against one!” the young one said with a pout, but couldn’t keep his laughter in check.
Instead he hid himself better behind the tree and crouched down to make himself a smaller target. He made two snowballs as quickly as he could and threw them both at Choice, before running in the direction he hoped was back towards the cave and hid behind another tree, trying to stock up on snowballs. “I can't wait to try and build with the snow,” Swish said excitedly to the others from his cover.

Despite the grief that still clawed at him, Choice couldn't help but laugh at Juniper's exaggerated reaction. "I will do my best," he vowed, smiling and giving Juniper a curt bow.
He almost regretted that when one of his snowballs actually hit Swish. But the cub seemed no worse for wear, even seemed to be enjoying himself, so Choice rallied. He didn't try to dodge the snowballs Swish threw his way and one of them hit him in the leg. "A fine hit!" Choice called out to him, just as he heard Swish call back how two against one wasn't fair.
"The cub has a point," Choice said to Juniper. "Two grown elves against one youngling does seem quite unfair. Should we even the odds a little?" He gave a meaningful look that darted between his own new snowball and Juniper, challenging.

"What? You want this battle to be 'last elf standing'?" Juniper asked, his gaze fixed in the suddenly threatening handful of snow. "You stab me in my back, while I already got hit." He wiped an invisible tear off his cheek, but then began to dig for defenses. Despite the snow was not wet enough, the treeshaper could at least try to build something to protect him from the inevitable storm of hits.
It was not that easy, not with the powdery snow. And Juniper suspected his new 'enemies' would take the advantage of him with his hands occupied on the digging and forming walls -- which were more like snowy hills.

Choice managed to hide is winch of worry until Juniper had begun to build what looked like hills - probably for protection. You know he didn't mean it like that! Choice scolded himself, yet he couldn't help but edge away from Juniper, towards where Swish was hiding. He didn't sound the least bit angry! He was joking! No one thinks of you as a traitor here, you fool.Choice took a stumbling step to the left and grabbed another handful of snow. He made himself smile as he shouted to Juniper and Swish both: "It's everyone against everyone! Here I come!" Trying to not think of anything, Choice launched his playful attacks. OOC: Feel free to be hit by Choice's snowballs or to dodge them
