A small council of elders leads the tribe.
Type of elves:
Spotted Dolphin-blooded sea-elves. They are very colourful, like the fish of a coral reef, often with multiple different colours.
Location:
In another realm, there is a big lagoon in a tropical region. Think Navagio Beach, Greece, just more tropical like the Caribbean.

They have soulnames, most get to know them at some point during adolescence, though some a have to go soul-searching to to find it.

They do Recognize, and some lifemate, but more often than not, they don’t.
Culture:
They spend a lot of time in the water with their bonds but they can’t stay submerged for more than 20 minutes. They have the ability to sleep like the dolphins in water, and sometimes they do, although they prefer to sleep in their hammocks made of woven preserver silk. Preservers have always been known to them and they use their preserver web for making soft, see-through, silk fabrics. Low tech-level.
They live in caves shaped into the sides of the cliffs that surround their lagoon
They have stories of the mean, ugly trolls, but only the ones who are old enough to remember having lived in the previous place, have really met, and known trolls.
Long ago they fled from humans, who were hunting them, and they found this place believing they had found peace. And they had for many many eights of turns. The humans of this world had a technology level of say, around 600 AC, when the elves fled from them, but now, unbeknownst to the elves, they are around the tech-level of the “golden age of piracy”.
After fleeing the humans the elves lived in secluded peace with their dolphins, that was until the humans came after them. The humans thought of the elves as mermaids or sirens, and saw them as trophies, so when the humans followed across the ocean, and found the elves, they attacked the pod.
