Swift-Wind did her best to keep herself in the background. She relied on her sister to assess the situation, since she had no idea of what was happening.
It worried her, that their mother did not respond to No-Sting. *Where is mother? If she is somewhere close why does she not answer?* Swift-Wind thought as she noticed the confusion in Eager's eyes and tried to calm him by petting him.
She acknowledged No-Stings latest message ~**Yes, let's go with the strange elf. He at least seems to know what he's doing. And of course I'll keep my dagger ready. I do not trust any of these strange elves with their strange animals and abilities. Besides they were her first. Who knows what twisted plans they may have?**~ Swift-Wind lock-sent to No-Sting.
Out loud she only said " I have no idea what is going on, but me and my sister will go with you to fetch water. It seems like a good plan, we will need it sooner or later." Before moving to the outside she continued "Do you mind if I bring Eager here?" as she reached out to touch her bond-friend.

"Cats are cats," Silverthorn muttered to himself, "and none of them are fit for bonding!"
But there they were, and now was not the time to argue. He returned the brown-skinned maiden's appraising look, not challenging but level, confident. He had no doubts. They were lost and possibly in danger, and leadership was needed. For now, at least. He wasn't looking for another tribe to be chief of. There was a tribe he needed to return to, more than any other thing.
He eyed the large cat that the second dark stranger was now wanting to bring along. No-Tail would not enjoy such company, he knew, but would obey if told not to fight. No time, his instincts said again, no place to scuffle and get one's hackles up. Cats, wolves, whatever else - elves were elves.
"As long as he doesn't attack my wolf-friend," he answered with a nod. "No-Tail is calm. But we should be careful to walk between them, still." He gave another nod of assurance to himself, and ducked out of the mouth of the tunnel again. He cast a final glance at Sunset and Keleero. "Will you two be all right? Be careful. Send to us at any trouble."

"How wonderful," Keleero said without much conviction as No-Sting offered to leave her big cat with them. But it was best not to argue. Who knew what the beasts would do if angered? Keleero didn't question Silverthorn taking charge of the situation. He was more than used to following orders. He found the presence of mind to settle his feet on the floor again and gave what he hoped was an apologetic smile to all around, feeling rather foolish for "showing off" his powers. Wasn't it enough that he'd shown himself being a Rock-Shaper? "I'll make sure to keep the ceiling steady while we explore," he said to Sunset. "Maybe we can find some place warmer? Or start a fire?" To Silverthorn he said: "I'm best at home inside a mountain so I'm sure we'll be fine here." Better than outside at least. "We'll try to make this a more welcoming place to return to, won't we Sunset?" False cheer had always been one of his go to tactics for dealing with uncertain situations. (( OOC: Once No-Sting, Silverthorn and Swift-Wind have left the beacon room I'll lock this thread and start a new one for our elves in the 'Mountain'-folder, Skye- but you can of course continue to post here untl then.)

No-Sting acknowledged Swift-Wind's sending with one filled only with emotions. She tried to share encouragement with her little sister, but some of her doubts and worries surely shone through her attempt at keeping cool and calm.
Oddspot let the strange little kitten bat at her paws without annoyance. The behavior stirred faint memories in her of a similar experience dulled by moons of time. Without ceremony she flopped down and offered herself as a warm fur to burry into or a place to climb and explore.
No-Sting watched her bond-friend with some amusement breaking through the dull panic that churned in her belly. At least slme good had come of this. Lynx didn't mourn their young like an elf would, but she knew there was enough elf-blood in Oddspot for there to be some grief left, some memory. She'd felt it on occasion, when Oddspot smelt the scent of bear on the wind.
"Let us get going then," she said then, tearing her eyes off her bond. "I'm hungry enough to eat a cup-horn all by myself. If we find water, we find fish. I'll help keep Eager and your...wolf apart."
The thought of bonding and sharing blood with a wolf was so very, very strange - almost unthinkable. All always together, in the same place, always interacting and needing to follow the ruling of only one. At least, that's what she imagined it was like. It was as far as No-Sting's knowledge of wolves went. Back home all were wise to stay out of the local wolf pack's way, as much as possible.
Sending to let Swift-Wind know to follow her and glancing at Silverthorn, she headed for the exit.

"I'll fly ahead and scout out the tunnels leading that way," Keleero said to Sunset as the others began to leave. "Stay here for a moment until I know it's safe, please. I wouldn't want you to get hurt in case these old walls choose to give in to time." Which was partly true. Half the reason he'd like Sunset to stay behind was the big cat currently cuddling her kitten. As much as he wanted his fellow elves to stay safe, he wanted even more to stay safe from their animals. Without waiting for an answer - in case said answer was no - Keleero took to the air again and glided down the tunnel to the right, keeping one hand on the wall to check for any weaknesses. (( OOC: Sorry for Keleero rushing off Skye - I just want him out of the way so you and our new member goldenbraid can jump in here and rp with you while I'm offline for a week. I and Keleero will be back on the 5th of May!)

A clatter could be heard near the amber crystal shortly after the small group had taken their leave, a metalic sound as something hit the floor and began to roll before wobbling to a slow stop. Panicked shrieking echoed through the room together with the frantic flapping of wings, a small shape shooting around above the heads of anyone present within the cave. She winced as she opened her eyes, her fingers reaching for her cheek which had made rough contact with the rocky floor of the cave and she scowled, asking," Almar? Why did you trip me?" She sounded confused as as she caressed her cheek with a light scowl, pushing herself up to a sitting on her knees before the confusion began spread, her eyes betraying the shock she felt as it dawned upon her that her best friend was not in sight. "Almar?" Her brows furrowed and her eyes squinted as she scrambled up to her feet, glancing around for any sign of Almar, the elf who was at her side mere moments ago. The lighting within the cave was dim yet a warm orange. A torch? A brazier perhaps? A gasp escaped the tall female elf as she turned on her heels and faced the crystal embedded into the wall, the orange glow reflecting in her turquoise colored eyes as she stared upon it. She stood like frozen to take it in, an unfamiliar sight and slowly other thoughts than the wonder and confusion she felt began to creep into her head. Did she even know this place? Was it an ambush? Was she taken elsewhere? "Almar?!" she called out, her hands clenching into fists as she felt panic rise within her. She remained as calm as she could be, assessing the situation while listening to the echoes of her own voice being the only answer until she saw something move from the corner of her eyes, like a flash of black in the dark. She held her tongue and rose her left arm slowly as if she instinctively knew what was swooping about and soon enough a light weight clasped onto her wrist and settled with flapping wings and soft chirping. She hushed softly to the small sparrowhawk, stroking her fingers along its back while she remained alert," it is alright, Aire, calm now." She tried to remember. She was walking along the tunnels with Almar, Aire perched on her hand. They were talking, mere chatter about nothing important, just minding their own business. They were headed down below to check on Vefey, one of the rockshapers until suddenly she lost her balance and... ended up here. She took a deep breath, her chest heaving as she felt a chill down her spine. It was obvious she was no longer in Silver Talon Spire, but where was she exactly? She took a few steps and bent forward to sweep up the winged helmet she had lost when she hit the ground, looking upon it before urging Aire to sit on the broad leather shoulder armor she wore across her left shoulder to have a hand free. There was no point in stressing and trying to guess; she had to look for answers. "Lets us have a look then, shall we?" she asked her feathered companion while holding the helmet under her arm and against her side, stepping away from the crystal she did not dare touch to start examining the cave she has been brought into. (( OOC: Skye and goldenbraid, feel free to find Vareesi and Aire and interact with them.))

She could feel the muscles rippling under the fur of her bond wolf they raced through the trees and underbrush of the forest, but Goldenbraid was sure if she was hotly tracking down any surviving tribe mates or trying to outrun herself…. something impossible to do!
She knew the tribe believed in ‘living in the moment of wolf thought’, that the past was something to be left there in the past but the memories of what happened were still to fresh in her head, the painful sight of the recently attacked holt, the bloody scene at the destroyed human village, and the knowledge of how she was responsible for the later.
The distraction of the thoughts was likely why she didn’t see the source of the sudden flash of light that appeared before them, blinding them momentarily. And it was thanks to her good reflexes, that she was able to slide quickly sideways of Lost-cause as the sky suddenly dropped down on them, avoiding the possible result of banging her head. But as both skidded to a fast stop on what seemed rough stone, she realized it was a cave roof and not the sky.
But how? They were nowhere near rock, despite the long run they had been on, it would take a journey of many times more distance to reach even the foothills of any great source of rock. And they didn’t fall into any underearth caves as they’d come running in, not dropped.
She was fastly suspecting magic in this, considering the large glowing orb in the wall behind them, but was pulled away from further thought as the large wolf growled deeply……

Swift-Wind responed to Silverthorn by saying "No Eager is not agressive unless he need be". She did not acknowledge any emotions but wanted to make sure he knew that Eager would cooperate. As long as she wanted him to. She was truly thankful for No-Stings efforts to try to calm her down, though she noticed she was not certain herself. It was not an easy situation for any of them. Being at a place they did not know, together with elves they'd never seen before. What was the right thing to do really? Soon Swift-Wind followed the her sister and Silverthorn outside, feeling glad that Eager was coming as well.

The sudden noises behind her had her slow down in her steps but it was the growling which caused her to freeze. Growling was never a good sign and it was also an uncommon noise within Silver Talon Spire. Where ever she was, it could mean hostility and presumably death. Searching from the corner of her eyes for the source of the growling after she had slipped her helmet back on as slowly as she could to not provoke the growling creature, she carefully moved her arms to undo the clasp of the sling which held a spear with a metal head strapped to her back, her other hand reaching around her to grab a hold of the long weapon. The moment the sling came loose, she twirled the spear to catch it in both her hands and turned around in one swift movement to face whatever sounded threatening... only to find an elven child upon the back of a beast. The muscles in her arms were tensed as she held herself from thrusting the spear at the wolf to force it to back off and away, unable to hide the surprise and confusion of seeing a small elf upon the back of something she never imagined as rideable.
Her lips parted as she tried to form words but nothing came out as she tried to make sense of what she was seeing. The threat of the wolf growling at her was forgotten for a moment as she finally managed to utter to the golden haired elf," what are you doing, fledgling? Why are you...? Her words trailed off into silence as she couldn't guess why exactly the child-like elf was riding a wolf within a cave which held a mysterious crystal. She kept her spear ready though, just in case this was a trap set up by any troll. It seemed too bizarre not to be.
Her feathered companion remained perched upon her shoulder, cocking its head as it observed the growling wolf from a safe height and distance.

Goldenbraid turned to see what had Lost-Cause growling, quickly picking out the shadowy outline of a figure in the dark, she almost grabbed up her bow to take shot….. as the figure was human sized….. but held as she focused more closely on the figure as it produced a spear to protect itself. She was surprised to see it was an elf, similar to the couple pure-bloods still with her tribe, or she hoped still were with her tribe.
“Please lower your spear, elder.” She said low, as she laid a hand on her bond companion, instantly silencing his growl. “We mean you no harm, though how you or we ended up where ever here is puzzles me.”
She noted the four exits, three tunnels going off the back of this rock cave, and the one that must lead outside from the breeze that came from it.

( OOC: I'm finally un-jet-laged enough to write, so Keleero is coming back. I'll check in with Skye tonight to see if she wants us to wait for her next post or if Sunset maybe walked down one of the tunnels or went outside and is out of hearing range for the moment. Well, if she doesn't post here before I can e-mail her of course.) IC:Keleero paused in his inspection of the tunnel walls, straining his hearing. What had that noise been? More followed and he slowly began to float back the way he'd come. Were those voices? Yes, they had to be. More strangers? The answer came as he turned the last twist in the tunnel and saw the two new elves in the chamber ahead. Shamefully, his first thought was: Not another beast!Keeping to the relative safety of the tunnel, Keleero pushed that thought aside and said: "Please don't fight." As diplomacy went it was a poor attempt, but it was the best he had - other than errecting a rock-wall between the two elves, but he suspected such an act wouldn't go over well. He also had the presence of mind to keep his feet on the floor as he stepped out of cover. He'd made the mistake of showing off his gliding once already; doing so twice would be both stupid, embarrassing and risky. He still kept to the mouth of the tunnel, ready to bolt if either of the strangers - one wearing metal clothing and one as strangely short and beast-fond as so many of the others - proved to be hostile. He kept an eye out for Sunset, but didn't dare call her name or send to her, in case the new arrivals attacked her on sight. Who knew if one of these two were powerful enough to listen to thoughts not meant for them? And one or both could be their captor!

OOC: Sorry guys! Real life reared its ugly head unexpectedly.
IC: Sunset watched, placing herself close to her young bond and the motherly lynx. Quietly, she said, "It's a puzzle to all of us. We aren't the only ones here; there are some who went out to find food and hopefully fresh water. For now, all I can offer for advice is to step carefully as all of us seem out of our element, and to treat all elves you meet as if they're just as clueless as you are. So far, it seems a good rule to follow." She knelt by the two felines, watching the wolves with trepidation.

The young boy woke up rapidly as he felt the stone under him. In his homeland were clearly no stone and he would know if it was time for a Flooding and he in one of the cliffs, where it was safe from the rising water. Slowly raising up the thought that he was in a strange place grows strong in him and the cold and the dark only confirmed that. It could get dark suddenly when one of the day-moons stood between Vineta and the day-star, but that only happens sometimes and was no explanation for this pitch darkness. And nothing he knew could cause such a cold air, that makes him shivering, although it wasn’t only that but also the fear. Rokuta wasn’t a fearful child, but since now he didn’t realized that even in his peaceful world unexpected things could happen, things that never thought possible by anyone. **Hello…? Anybody there?** he sent, obviously scared from that alien place, as he heard some voices nearby. His father has always told him to send, if he lost the way. *There will always be one who answers your call* has he said and on Vineta was that true. Even if the young boy was old enough to live on his own and loved adventures, this was no experience he liked to make. Scouting around in unknown places but with known nature and animals was one thing, being spirited away to an unfamiliar cave another. Just to feel a bit safer he grabbed his weapon, a metallic chain with sharpened weights on the end and nearly as long as he was tall. It was a very special tool, not really deadly if used against elves but dangerous for smaller animals and useful with its wide range.

((OOC: Keleero Sorry, I changed Vareesi's outfit a bit while I tried to design/draw her. It is more leather than metal now )) The tall helmet-wearing elf lowered her spear slightly when the child-looking elf tried to assure her growling companion meant no harm, though the glint in her eyes betrayed that she wasn't so sure. The situation was too bizarre to blindly trust and so she remained alert and cautious, no matter that the silver spearhead pointed towards the ceiling rather than at the wolf. The request to not fight was heard clearly and she straightened up to see who the voice belonged to, seeing a male slightly shorter than herself approaching her, the wolf and what she believed to be a fledgling. She hadn't ever met a non-pure blooded elf and so it didn't cross her mind at all that she was dealing with different sorts of blood. "I have no intention to fight... as long as I am not provoked," she said calmly as she placed the butt of her spear upon the cavern floor, casting a sideways glance towards the wolf. Aire seemed to sense her tension and chirped at the wolf while remaining safe upon its mistress' shoulder guard, before letting out a short high pitched screech as if to the mock to four legged creature. "Nobody knows this place or has seen a crystal like this before?" she mused as she gazed upon the crystal for a moment moment while she spoke out loud, letting her eyes wander until she caught sight of the felines and the elf with them. Another fledgling... where ever did they come from and why did they associate with these supposed savage creatures? The advice the freckled elf gave was taken gratefully and she sighed quietly to herself as it held no answer. Nothing seemed to have an answer at this point in time. If one was supposed to pretend all were clueless, who ever would have the knowledge needed? "Food and fresh water?" she asked with the raising of a brow, suddenly wondering how long everyone had been here if they had begun to scavenge. That was a concerning thought. How many of them were there? Where had they all come from and had they tried to find a way out and home yet? And then a sending reached her and perhaps everyone else around her, interrupting her thoughts. She bend her neck to turn her head, looking around the orange lit room to try and figure out where it came from before she tried to home in on the source and sent back,** yes... yes, we're here. Where are you? Come towards us.** How many more elves were lost within these caverns, she wondered.

Goldenbraid was happy as the elder put up her spear, though she did note she still held it with a ready grip, but suddenly realized it wasn’t the elf that had set Lost-cause off as images flooded her mind. Images of a large cat with a kit and another elf sort of hiding nearby, which now made sense as the wolf was not fond of cats, though this one looked shorter and furrier that the hill cats that lived in the area of her clan.
She glanced towards these new figures herself, wondering what the elf was doing with them, or more why the cat would let her that near with a kit around. Her answer came as a few images came to her mind, these she assumed from the cat, ones of mother protection for the kit and surprisingly the elf, but another elf face also was pictured, one not here but held the sense of connection Lost-cause held for her.
A cat bond? She guessed it was possible.
Her attention was taken by another voice speaking, asking that they not fight, and this one apparently a male elder, who stood in the opening of one of the three tunnels. Though he sounded calm and a bit diplomatic, she did notice his nervous glance at her bond wolf.
Before this new person could be dealt with, the elf by the cats spoke up, indicating that none here had any clue what was happening, and that there were ever more elves about starting a search of basic needs. “Well that with help interaction but not much help with answers.” She commented off hand. Not much else was said as an elf send came out of the dark asking if anyone was there, meaning yet another elf was about.
